Sunday Indulgences

Its 1 pm EST and no indulgences are up, time to remedy that. The weather here is windy, but not too cold and feeling very much like Fall.

Tell me all the awesome things that you've been doing and provide me many threads and OOMs to read. I adore how the Slenderplot is making the Bar busy again, but I keep missing things.

  Ben is getting knee deep in the Slender Man plot. He's reported what's been happening to X, is chatting with Gohan,, and Red, got checked out by Guppy, had his first nightmare and grumped (I am pretending that's a word) at Enzo and Ava.

Palamedes has meet another immortal by the name of Amanda and I see a lot of potential for their friendship.

I've Bound Hank and he got his nose bent, though he met Amanda, Remus and Sunshine as well as bumping into Charles.

All of these are open except the thread with X and some week I will finish everything I start. = ]

This is not my own awesome, but I just watched a man ride a balloon to twenty-four miles above sea level, jump out of it, and land on his own two feet after falling for five or six minutes straight. Felix Baumgartner may be the most awesome thing I see all day.

Yeah, I missed the live feed but WOW nonetheless.

And this pertains to the Bar because there is a deleted scene from Star Trek Generations where Kirk does that. Only he won't be as cool.

I spent about three hours watching the live feed mostly because I'm still recovering from last week's cold, and wanting to see the whole thing kept me from getting up and doing stuff that would make the situation worse.

'course now that it's over I'm gonna go out and visit the heirloom garlic festival, but hey, at least I got some stay-at-home-and-be-warm time.

+ Ava's late night EP features chats with Charles, X suspecting something is wrong, and failure to communicate with Elle. (Last thread includes the Slenderman himself. :O)

+ Wendytending! OH MY GOD PEOPLE you are great and I am so sorry my Wendyvoice is still sorta fickle. I'm working on it!

+ Wendy is also meeting Bucky Barnes and Liz Sherman for great justice!

Unexpectedly, AmascutSarah and LokiPyrrha have a staring contest turned into a nice thread despite the previous back room antagonism between them. I'm loving it so far.

I'm very happy with how well Poins is doing, and adapting to Milliways. I've been playing him a lot this week, and I find that the cadence of the pretendy blank verse I have him speak in is very catching; when I switch to Teja, I always have to concentrate to make him speak prose, albeit old-fashioned and high-falutin.

Threads in particular:

• He gets on well with Sunshine, and she shows him how to shower -- but completely SFW!! They continue in that vein.


• And then there's Ganymede, shocking and fascinating him further. I must admit I am sitting on fences here, not jumping one way or another, as I still hope for more canonmates, maybe, and won't establish anything about the charries they might app.


• Pyrrha!Loki, though, deals him a culture shock, that I entirely asked for by PM, I must add. To stay in Milliways, that medieval man stuck in his rigid little ordo (even though he thinks himself at the bottom of the same, he doesn't structurally doubt the order of the world) needs his mind expanded a little to deal with Milliways and not insult half of everybody he meets. He is at least impressed/worried/scared enough to shift from the common 'thou' to deferential 'you'.


• And then, Poins can haz canonmate -- Harry 'Hotspur' Percy appears, and is very temperamental at all, including Poins.


• And then he gets his first Bartending.


• And he has his own tag now.

I did RP stuff this week! Red got in on the Slendyplot action and is very concerned about Charles. Meanwhile, I gave Claudia a canon update and an EP to suit, and started her steps toward twigging to Slendyplot.

I began filling out job applications!

This time next year, I need to have a real job! (Or a place on a post-grad course)! AAAAGGGHHH!


I also did another step through Erik's canon, along with a first entrance for Max Epper, and, right at the start of the week, an EP for Jack, featuring a small amount of slendyplot.

Today, I survived putting on a birthday party for twenty kids, and a great time was had by all. I am celebrating five years of having the most beautiful daughter in the world. <3

On a marginally less brilliant note - because everything is, in comparison - I introduced Bruce Banner to the bar, and love him to pieces already.

Sorry for not responding to everyone, I had adventures that involved long drives and spending time in bookstores today. I enjoy Michigan but all the roads look the same, which makes it hard to know just how lost you are.

In roleplaying, I've been doing a lot of Slenderplot stuff, mainly with Charles and William. It's much more when I write it down, o.O, I guess this plot just clicks for me.

Charles has been having bad dreams and going into people's dreams. It started with his dream then he slipped into dreams of Elle and Ava. He also talked about those dreams and problems in an EP, with Ava, Wesley, Red, Sariel and met Doc. As well as meeting Slenderman. Wow, he's been loud, there's also a new thread that started with Lady Mary.

William also met Slenderman and talked with Bucky, Ellen, Regulus, had an EP, met Max Epper, and talked with Steve and Bucky.

Work is keeping me busy, its just my days have slow and fast times.

Been another one of those weeks. Going to call the therapist again tomorrow after my midterm - I missed her the first time. In the meantime, here's some Harry Nilsson to play my week off.

I did get some threading in, though. Leela has a still-in-progress thread with Thor, as well as with Will Evans. Meanwhile, Atrus has something still ongoing with Tsu'tey. Finally, Kane wrapped another interesting conversation with Teja.

In a strange fit of motivation, I finally moved Lady Mary further into canon with two OOMs this week. That means she's back in the bar, and her current EP is still open.

Tommy meets James Moriarty, tries to avoid Slendy by baking with Sunshine, and tries not to short circuit Elle again.

Then things get really personal when Slendy invades his dreams like a fucking asshole. >:( (The second half is basically everything I saw in my own nightmare. NEVER WATCH MARBLE HORNETS VIDEOS BEFORE BEDTIME. THEY MESS WITH YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS.)

When I first started watching them, I watched a few in the evening. My desk chair has its back to the study door. I would watch a video, look over my shoulder, watch the next video, pause it halfway through, look over my shoulder, finish the video, watch the next video, pause it three times during the video to look over my shoulder, and then I still jumped when the stairs creaked when the cat came upstairs.

I watched the rest of them at work.

At first I didn't think I'd have much of a reaction to the scary parts, but I've burst out with a "OHSHIT!" more than once and have been trained to whimper with irrational fear each time the audio goes staticky.

But the Youtube videos showing people's reactions as they play the Slenderman game are hilarious.

I actually threaded this week! Wow!

I'm really enjoying the Slenderplot, and getting involved in it with this girl here. Threadwise, Sariel chatted with Charles Xavier and Jack West recently, both of which have already been linked I think? Anyhow. Aside from those, and the foreshadowy creepy Slenderplot aspects in the Charles one, Sariel has had herself a nasty nightmare. Hi, plot.

I admit some of the elements in that nightmare came from a fic I was reading on Wednesday morning. Bits of it would not. leave. me. alone. and they made good and character/plot-suitable nightmare fodder, so. That's one way to get ickiness out of your head. Heh.
