"He has that effect on people. You should've met the neighbor's kitten Vincent. Squeaky, long, orange and white, and purring at being held like a baby." Ahh...ragged washcloths into one pile, neat washcloths into another, long towels and stripey towels into another.

"Our pups have met before, I don't think we've collided fourth-wall before though. My single pup right now has a tendency to get thrown into other worlds and times. His elder-self is a fine cook though, so it's one thing we share."

Chanter would facepalm, but that'd require letting a squirmity purrball furball get away. As is, it's fairly audible by tone of voice when she twigs. "Oh wait, duh, Tyler Marlocke! Sorry, Fuzzy, dunno where my brain went. Think I might've left it at that cafe, or maybe it just saw Milliways, said bugger this and turned off. No idea. As for the kitten, I think I'd have fallen in love and been sorely tempted to take him home. The dog wouldn't care." Pause. "Ooh, but the kitten might."

If Bonzai is of a sniffing mindset, this human smells like a d-o-g. A well-treated and rather furry d-o-g, but still. And said human's hair is very dangly, and swingy. Cats have absolutely used it for a toy before.

Well, he's making his meows of protest be heard, before taking a nip at Chanter, while still purring his head off. He's getting attention so ofcourse he'll be purring.

"Bonzai is the terror of the neighborhood dogs." Fuzz replies, grinning as the big boy takes a swing and a swat at grabbing some of the hair before trying to climb his way out of being held. PrrRRRRRrreeerrooowl!!

"He's not declawed by the way. I only barely managed to clip his front paws yesterday."

"Ouch!" says the Chanter, only partially for effect, as the cat takes a nip at her. "Eh, claws I can deal with. At least he's not actively trying to take my hand off; I knew one Maine coon who would be purring and kissy one second and grrrr hiss claws and teeth the next. I have no idea what her issue was, and since I couldn't read her body language--eh, no clue there." The kitty is welcome to play with Chanter's hair, if the total lack of objection is anything to go by.

"My dog is a giant marshmallow. If you've ever seen the icon I use that's of a big white lab, that's him a few years ago. I keep telling a friend of mine that her Bengal would intimidate the heck out of him if they ever met." Pause. "This guy is really not a fan of being contained, is he?"

"Not a fan of being held in general, he only tolerates it when he's on his leash in the yard..." Fuzz replies, not really reacting too strongly to the nipping from the cat. "Stick your finger in his mouth if he does that again."

"I'm really not all that bothered. You want me to take over with the laundry, though? I feel rather bad being the captor of the cat who'd sooner not be caught, even though I know an escape into the bar isn't a great idea."

Pause. "Silly question, but I honestly haven't a clue, you know?" The hand not scritching the cat gestures to Chanter's own face, and the eyes that are quite obviously not looking directly at anything. "What color is he? I'm imagining buff or tan and white, or possibly grey and black tabby with a little white mixed in, but I could be waaaay off."

"He's a lynx point brat. He's got a tabby mask, dark ears, and softly stripey tail. Honestly we know his momma was part snowshoe from his breeding records. See his white socks? And the blue eyes come from the Siamese in the snowshoe cat breed."

Cat nerrrrrrd.

"He was a surrendered kitty, his first daddy couldn't have him anymore in the economy. Then he got adopted by my housemate."
