Wednesday Night Shout Outs! the Halloween Edition...

It's beginning to look a lot like another Milliways holiday! And while everyone on the East coast is recovering from the excitement of the hurricane (seriously, everyone, stay safe and warm with all our love ♥), we might see a quieter Halloween than normal this year. Still, I'd like to propose a Shout Outs with a Sunday Indulgences twist. All those CWDP and costumed EPs you're proud of should not be missed! If you see your stuff scrolling off the front page, pimp it! Link it! Tell us the story behind your character's CWDP, or their costume! Share your excitement and give everyone still waiting for the power to come back on something amazing to browse through - and perhaps tag, for slowtimey justice.

To start with Red, since she's linked there and all: CWDP is one of my favorite Millitraditions, and as soon as I started wondering who to do this year, it hit me that Red needed the closure with Peter, as long as the opportunity to get it was there. So I've been threatening everyone on Twitter with BRB CRYING FOREVER since September. XD

OTHER HALLOWEEN THINGS. Quinn and I are plotting a little plottishness if her shoulder stops hating her, but in the meantime, Regulus has found himself with a doctor's lab coat for Houseish reasons (but going icon-hunting is impractical, given the age difference). And Orion is becostumed as Azkaban!Sirius.

Claudia talks to some dead people: Well, I gave her Jack last year, so it seemed like a fitting full-circle thing to give her Rebecca this year, and then it just wouldn't come together... and I realised that was because Jack wanted to tag along again. XD Carrying on with Claud's tradition of getting useful information out of these things, she now knows HG's going to need extra moral support soonish and... well, there was a mention of the rocket, but that won't be relevant for a while.
This one wasn't horrible for her, but I was sobbing, partly because I decided I needed to listen to the song I used as link text. Said song is just begging to be a W13 vid about everyone's grief issues and I will sob forever if someone makes it. Love it and despair, yo.

Haven't gotten much finished RP-wise, but a lot of stuff got started. Over in the Mixed Muses-verse, Dean met Merida. Hilarity is in the process of ensuing.

Thank you so much for the shout out! I've been debating where Hank got his famous "Oh my stars and garters" line forever and am pretty happy with my final choice. There was also this slowtime OOM with Raven in case you missed it.

I love Knox as a gaslight Batman though I didn't have the brainspace to tag (I may tomorrow with a gaslight Spider-woman I found on flickr). Gavin in drag is a close second.

I also love the creepy thrills Urquhart/Charles and Ava/Elle have brought to the table. So well done! I haven't cought up on reading all the Slender Man plot but I definitely will!

And Knox's costume comes from the "Gotham by Gaslight" comic that was the first Elseworlds story DC ever did. Art is by Mignola, pre-Hellboy, from around the same time as Knox's Bat-canon. It was a good time to be a Batfan. (Still is.)

I put in lots and lots of blank spaces, which register as nbsp -- you know the one, ampersand at the beginning and semicolon at the end? If DW won't accept your blanks for the line breaks, try those. You need a great load of them though.

And yay for more blank verse!
