And finally, I gave a farewell thread to one of my earliest pups, John McCabe, who rode off into the woods never to return. You might see him back there if you look hard enough into the distance on a foggy night. But you won't see him in Milliways (or any other thread) ever again.
I've been trying to write Ellen's Conversations with Dead People since before Hurricane Sandy was anything more than Annoying Not Quite A Tropical Weather Pattern Worthy Of A Name.
There's still no power in my building in the meantime. Rest of the block has it, so I'm hoping that just means they're waiting on PSE&G inspectors to verify the building is safe and turn it back on today. Don't expect much from me until then.
You know it's funny how often I don't feel like I never did anything for the week but once I show my work, I'm all dang, did I get any work done this week? ;p
I've been oddly active this week. Well, not that oddly. Halloween, All Saint's Day, And All Souls day are good excuses for torturing my pup :P
So, the week started of with a conversation with Skaưi because OMG YOU ARE PREGNANT.
Then I stuck her in her costume and chained her to the bar for three days. (Wait, I haven't mentioned that this is Amascut I am talking about. I am too used to not mentioning her name). There she caught up with Pyrrha!Loki and gave her sharp toys to play with.
[By the way can someone please draw this scene, please please pretty please?]
Thursday, she did some bartending while goofed up on marrentill, and the shenanigans carried over to Aphrodite's bartending on Friday.
Phew... I must be experiencing a homework drought. Yay!
In Yuletide news: Haven't written a damn thing yet, but I think I know the overall shape of it, and it will be FUN. I get to work from scraps of canon and make something! MY FAVORITE (this is Capslock of Truth).
Most of what I did this week was Slendyplot related, Will fighting in it and Charles getting rescued.
In real life, I signed my lease and have my apartment key, my stuff's been delayed by Sandy but I have an apartment.
William had an OOM to get him home and away from the endgame of Slendy. He also was part of the last thread for McCabe.
Will and Charles were involved with Slenderplot. Will in the forest, Charles in the hospital. This was an amazing plot. Charles is slowly starting to deal with his fallout and met Aphrodite, who is giving him new things to consider.
William has an EP with some good news that's still open and he's talking to Alfred.
In terms of slowtimes, I finished a massive thread with Max and Poins which meanders about quite considerably, but was thoroughly enjoyable.
Also, I got to see skyfall on Wednesday :D :D I will have a post about this up in my mun journal when I have finally put ALL THE THOUGHTS it gave me down into words and type them out.
So I did a very basic Conversations with Dead People post for Moriarty. It was very hurriedly written, but I wanted to post it up instead of it being even more belated than it already is.
Olivia got to be awesome during the Slenderplot! Specifically, she helped out in the hospital and the forest. Four for you, Olivia.
Aaaand then I fell down the Fringe rewatch rabbit hole this weekend and -- finally -- pushed her into season three. One or two more OOMs will likely be coming tomorrow...or maybe even tonight, if I can manage a rewatch and dinner and another hour or two of writing. :D?
The storm meant I had a lot of extra time stuck at home, so I did a lot more RP-wise this week than I normally have time for. Whee!
Carol bartended on Monday night, in attempt to apologize to Bar for blowing down a door. And later she ran into her BFF Jessica and compared Halloween costumes.
And I moved! From an apartment to a house I'm sharing with my sister, brother-in-law and baby nephew (my reading list has already been regaled with Nephew stories) and I've somehow managed to keep my sanity and not get more stressed. Now I have to get to know my new city and find a job. And finish a story by December. EEK.
Leela Sevateem-mun (yes, I keep wanting to distinguish, as we've got two people called Leela in the bar and Sariel knows them both) already linked to what I'm most proud of this week. That OOM with Nori and Hellboy in the hospital was seriously fun! There was also the borrowing of weaponry and the discussion of acclimation to the future with Ellen Park, an unsettling, quickly quite detailed conversation with emerald!Moriarty, and worry over a missing Charles with Hank McCoy. I really should link those, shouldn't I?
The current infirmarythread is still getting going, but I get the idea it's going to be fun. :)
Aha, here's the link for the Ellen, Moriarty and Hank threads; they're all in one post, so. Over thisaway.

Obviously, the most notable activity is Leela and Sariel rescuing Noriko in the Abandoned Hospital. She's currently receiving some medical attention in the infirmary thread. I must say, I had a lot of fun throwing Leela into the Slendyplot.
Jim had a bit of costumey fun this Halloween, finding himself dressed as Willy Wonka. He has some ongoing conversations with Mia Ausa and Alex Knox.
Later on, Atrus did a little catching up with Charles Xavier and Kane had a rather brief conversation with a divine bartender.

...and I should link it, shouldn't I? I'll do that later when not on my iPad.

Finally got it up last night.

Jessica came in and immediately went fab for Halloween with an Erte inspired take on her costume, meeting Poins, and Carol. She also met an unnamed once-diety during her happy hour and a reporter from Gotham dressed as his favorite subject.
And over in the sandboxes, I'm testing out a young wizard from Cinda Chima's Heir Chronicles and he's meeting Charles Xavier.
You know it's funny how often I don't feel like I never did anything for the week but once I show my work, I'm all dang, did I get any work done this week? ;p

Other things too, but that's what stands out at the moment.

Red caught up with Charles post-Slendyplot; more was said about her CWDP than his current Things To Process, but that's okay.
Apollo had a long talk with Orpheus about Eurydice, all without actually naming her in-conversation. Iiiiii kinda love this thread.
And because it bears pulling out again: that time I wrote A PAGE AND A HALF OF BLANK VERSE just because. :D

On Tuesday I presented a review seminar on my 4th year project. It felt like it went pretty well, but I don't know what mark I got yet.
I finished up Thor canon from Erik's point of view. Put Alfred back in the bar (That EP is still open, people so feel free to tag it up) and began the next step through Jack's canon.

Mary had an unexpected conversation with a spoilery dead person, but she doesn't realize the dead part yet.
