DE: Aaannnd...Cut!
Man I think I am still riding the election buzz. Talk about nail bitting. Anyway, onto the fun...
Who would direct the movie of your life? Who would direct your pup's? And if your pup already has a director, whom would you rather have had?

- Gordon and Adrian are probably being directed by Michael Bay, although given how mean canon is a case can be made for Joss Whedon (someone else on scriptwriter, though)
- Ellen's got James Cameron
- Ray's just fine with Ivan Reitman thank you very much
- Medic's got Michelangelo Antonioni (if only because of the explosion scene in Zabriskie Point)
- Arcade doesn't want to say who his director is because it'd give away his family secret so he's just going to say Alan Smithee kthx
- Varric doesn't much care who the director is so long as the scriptwriter is Fran Walsh
- Zira... oh, the book is so awfully different from the movie in a lot of ways; I'm skipping the movie director and asking for Frank Capra instead
- Mordin would probably work fairly well with Spielberg for his director

- Ben gets Martin Scorsese
- Jessica gets Brad Bird
- Hank already had Matthew Vaughn and I can't see better (though it looks like it's going to be Bryan Singer next)
- Palamedes I'm inclined to go with Ridley Scott if they go for his 1000+ life span. If it's just Arthur's time...I'm not sure to be honest.
- Thalia...yeah pulling another blank.

Zelgadiss... no idea.
Yrael's life would need Weta Workshop to be involved, whoever does the directing.

When the pacifist, squeamish-yet-naturally-talented-at-taking-out-vampires baker stakes her first vampire (with a stainless steel table-knife), blacks out from the explosion that covers the alleyway in bloody bits, and then regains consciousness while flailing and screaming and covered in blood, being held by a frantically-professional SOF trying to get her away from the scene before too many of the locals see?
Yeah, Whedon will do fine.

I think Scorsese might do but I must confess my ignorance of the film business.
Evil Chicken gets... Hmm, someone who also directed a Dr. Seuss film. Maybe Ron Howard.
My life has so far been uneventful so no movie is going to be made about me, not even a romance flick :P

I've always wanted Whedon to do the Young Wizards series, because it's got all his favorites: kick-ass ladies! Pop culture references everywhere! Humor! A heart-wrenching character death in every book!
I'm not really sure about the rest of them. I think I'd like one of the BBC/RSC directors to tackle Epimetheus' backstory; Rupert Goold (who did Richard II and Patrick Stewart's Macbeth) could be very interesting.
Chris Columbus might be a really good option for directing Mairelon the Magician? Although given the success of Hugo I could also advocate for Scorsese.

Thor has had Kenneth Branagh and Joss Whedon, and I have no complaints; I hope Alan Taylor will do as well, but have no reason to think otherwise.
River is, like, archetypally a Joss Whedon creation. I'd be interested to see someone else's take on her, but doubt it'll ever happen, and I have no particular wishlist.
Regan's life, though... hmm. Yes, Joss Whedon has directed hers, but that was one tiny scene, so it's not exactly the movie of her life. And her life doesn't really play to his strengths on the whole. I'm thinking, like, Aaron Sorkin, or someone else who would do a good job of the sort of movie I never watch, about a businesswoman and politician's wife and generally extremely privileged but well-meaning woman.
Trowa's tv series and movie were directed by Masashi Mukaeda and Yasunao Aoki respectively, and the anime adaptation of Clare's manga was directed by Hiroyuki Tanaka. I really don't know enough about anime direction or directors to make any judgment calls on others doing it better.

As for DE, I dunno... there are way too many directors I love. In truth, I'd rather have it be an animated film and direct it myself.
And the pups... again, too many choices. They're doing just fine being on tv.

As for mine, I can only guess that it's probably Wes Anderson or Judd Apatow.
(And in other news, I just got a new job! Yay paycheck!)

Blazing Saddles could not possibly be anything other than a Mel Brooks movie. So I think Jim's good with what he has.
Tuco's in a similar boat. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is so quintessentially Sergio Leone that it's difficult to imagine anyone else at the helm.
I would watch the hell out of a Borgel film, especially if it were directed by someone like Terry Gilliam.
A Doctor Who film done right - especially one with Leela in it (which obviously won't happen) - would be truly epic to behold. I would want it to be directed by Spielberg, since in addition to being suited for it, he's also a fan.
I'd like to think that Command & Conquer would be directed by someone like Guillermo del Toro or Peter Jackson. But Kane's probably going to get stuck with Michael Bay.
Myst is a bit tricky, but after a bit of thought, I think Kenneth Branagh would be the best choice for it. He'd add a certain amount of class to it. He would also make a pretty good Atrus.

The movie of Tommy Gavin's life? Numerous directors will quit the project before it even hits production.

For me, I'd want Wes Anderson. He could take my mundane life and make it poignant by the use of technicolor and ridiculous closeups. Also there would be Bill Murray, so that's a plus.
I'd like to see Tim Burton tackle someone as well, but whoooo? And now I'm picturing Once Upon a Time or Avatar as done by Joss Whedon. *__*

Erik has been directed by Kenneth Branagh and Joss Whedon, both of whom have done a wonderful job, in my opinion, and I'm with Gen in hoping Alan Taylor will manage fine, though the bar has been set high.
Jack and Max would need, hmm, I don't know, but, to echo a sentiment that seems to be around here a lot at the moment, Not Michael Bay. Also, Not M Night Shyamalan.
Bean? Well, Gavin Hood is down to direct, and he hasn't been terrible? I'm going to reserve judgement till I've seen the film he makes though.
As for me? Possibly George Lucas? Bad dialogue and dodgy acting seems to feel right for my life, some how.

Dixie's would be a classic John Ford picture, complete with complex character portraits.
Juliet's would be Gary Marshall.
Pinkie's would be...oh God, I really want to say Tim Burton. Because off-kilter POV!
