I don't clean up my profiles enough and today is off to a much better start. Having the right prescription for my eyes helps so much. I know I changed some of the profiles when we moved to DW, but they probably need more.

Charles might do with a physical description.
Sameth could use mention of his Charter mark and pehaps an image of it?
Jane is also missing physical details, hair or eye color, height, etc.
William is good and clear,though maybe height woudl be good?
Demeter (I'm not picky about height for Her) is nice as are Moist, Tumnus and the Pirate King.

Physical descriptions are always tricky but important. I'll go add them in.

I feel like it was a lot more common when the game was on LJ. I mean, not only do I like knowing who someone is (and whether I recognize them from another pup), but -- yeah, contact information is great, especially if there's an option other than AIM, which I don't use anymore. (Hi, wow, I am so sleepy, how do you sentence structure?)

I haven't touched AIM in forever! I've also been tempted to leave my usual schedule for playing before too so those who look can know what to expect from me when tagging.

AGREED

The mun's username, or their AIM handle, but both is nice. Because the main thing that prods me to do threads in a timely fashion is having a game of tag ping-pong with the other mun in crackchat. (Or a side IM window if the other mun isn't in crackchat.)

Apparently some people don't like AIM; I have YIM and MSN too. (At least, until Microsoft kills MSN Messenger.) And Skype, but it's not hooked into Trillian, I have to open a separate program for it and that makes it annoying to use.

I am way too fussy about my characters' profiles to throw the doors open for suggestions. So instead I'm going to use my process to make blanket suggestions.

Basically what I have in mind with profile descriptions is that they should cover two things: supplying the information that most pups would be able to perceive when they look at my character (icons can't do everything -- and even otherwise excellent icons don't convey height well, also they may not accurately depict the character's dress sense), and notifying the mun of anything supernatural about the character, any special handling they might need, and anything that could make a previously ordinary thread with them go suddenly south. (If every thread with the character is likely to have some manner of unpleasantness in it, that definitely deserves a mention.)
