Another pup FYI

So soon I will be bring in Andrea Nash here to Milliways, but I wanted to give a few warnings.

First off, she is a werehyena, but currently has an amulet in her brain which hides her magical signature and nature from even the most sensitive equipment of her world. She should read as human to most though maybe an odd human with a slight scent of hyena maybe. If you feel your pup would see through this I ask you to contact me before saying anything in thread as this is a big canon point for Andrea.

Secondly, she comes from a canon wherein vampires are emaciated, mindless killing machines with no hint of ego left to the body. Any vampires she comes across will be treated with near hostile suspicion at first. I'm not suggesting vampires stay away from her, just that there will be hostility first as Andrea figures out that the vampire here are not the same as her world.

Is the werehyena thing pure magic (or fake-science), or is it demonic in nature at all?

I ask for Clare. If it's pure magic, then she definitely wouldn't sense it. If it's at all demonic, I could see justifying it either way -- either with the werehyena signature so completely masked that Clare can't pick up on it at all, or with her picking up on the fact that there's some power in Andrea that's faint/distant/hidden. Whichever you'd find more fun!

(Canonically, Clare and Teresa are both very, very sensitive to the energy of their world's particular brand of demon. But it is possible to suppress even that far enough to hide it from them, especially if they're not actively looking. It's very difficult, but it's possible.)

Canon states that all weres carry the Lyc-V virus which is a magic virus that attaches DNA from one host to another. Most often each strand picks up mammal DNA and attaches to a human, but the opposite can happen. So it's sort of fantastic science with a dash of generic magic? Nothing demonic or curse like has been associated with weres to date.

Works for me! In that case, yeah, I don't think Clare would likely pick up anything even without the amulet, so that's easy.

I noticed you're using Allison Mack as a PB -- would she look like other characters played by the actress?

I would totally be cool with that, but shall leave it up to the Smallville folks. In fact I will make a note of it in her profile.

For future reference, how much do you want Andrea to resemble Chloe? IMDb flu-level, or just enough to remind Lois and Clark of her?

I know, not much help. I have never seen Smallville though so Andrea caries herself in a professional, police like manner. She does her best to not seem threatening (unless the situation requires it) and is often very friendly. She also tends to make a lot of jokes and quips. For Clark's sake, I would imagine her heart rate is faster then Chloe's as her metabolism runs faster and hotter.
