Elrond is the son of The Mariner. Also, he has already taken advantage of the lake in Millicanon, so we know he prefers to swim naked.

Eric is a viking and likes to swim. Not having to breathe is a great advantage as well.

Clay can paddle like a dog. He's only been exposed to shallow pools.
