DE: I Got Nothing

Since there's nothing posted, I'm stealing an idea from an old X-Men comic where Beast put up a blank piece of paper in the Xavier mansion and just left it there.

So write what you will!

I got an idea!

As I noted elsewhere, I sang karaoke at our staff holiday party. I chose "Bus Stop" and then, when asked for an encore, "Sympathy for the Devil." And I must say, I rocked the house with the latter.

So what song would your pups choose? (We will leave the Evil Karaoke Machine aside this once.)

Knox would go with some Elvis. "Hound Dog" or "Heartbreak Hotel." Cy would rock it Gangam style! (Am I spelling that right?) Howard would do his best Sinatra. Charlie would break out some 60s psychedelic, just to be weird.

Gibbs and Kirk pass.

Ooh, Alec rockin' the house! Go you!

For some reason, Bela says she'd pick "Genie in a Bottle". Oh, Bela.

Tom says he'll stick with Christmas carols and/or pub songs.

Ingress will do a Wyrd Sisters cover. :-P

Ben would sing some Louie Prima (can't think of a song as I am stuck on "I'm Just A Gigolo") or maybe The Chanukah Song.

Val would sing Christmas Wrapping.

Hank would try and demure but Raven would push him in so he'd sing White Christmas.

Andrea takes some convincing also but eventually sings Miriah Carey's All I Want For Christmas.

Jessica jumps right in and sings There's Always Tomorrow.

Thalia blows the whole Christmas theme and sings Green Day's Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)

Beauford would just end up singing the songs he's got a little passion in, like Matchbox 20's "Black and White people", Smashmouth's "Padrino", or Brian Setzer Orchestra.

Helena would sing U and Ur Hand by Pink. Possibly followed by Adele's Hometown Glory.

I've always meant to have Raph conned into singing, "Boy Named Sue" for some reason.

Mike is habitually singing Salt N Pepa songs in my head, so..."Whotta Man".

I've decided that "Say Hey (I love you)" is right up Bumi's alley.

Ida would see "Paranoid Android" come up on the Karaoke monitor and just walk away.

What? No "Rocket Man" from Kirk? I'm sure that the Bar could provide him with a tuxedo with a ruffled shirt. :)

You have him confused with William Shatner. A common mistake, one Kirk never understood. :)

Alyx would probably go with either Paul Simon or Ella Fitzgerald, depending on how she was feeling at the moment.

Princess Luna would sing Metallica's "Enter Sandman." In fact, I reserve the right to have her do that next time there's a karaoke thread. :)

Twilight... I honestly have no idea what her musical tastes are like.

Aradia would sing "(Don't Fear) The Reaper"! She would not require a lot of prompting either.

I can see Beast doing that and Charles approving. My mornings off to a weird start, I had to briefly go home from work to replace a contact that was acting up but it did give me a chance to get some tea.

I had a nice talk with the Lower Campus librarian and the storm Draco is headed this way, which hopefully will make tomorrow nice and quiet. I think its also going to pass mainly north of where I have to drive, I hope so because I'd rather not drive through a storm.

One more day of work and the rest of today then I'll have finished the first half of my first year as a school librarian!

If I remember right, he set it up the day after a big attack or some deaths/major injuries. The mood of the house was very shell shocked, and he got people talking even though they weren't ready to vocalize.

And congratulations on your first year! I know it's been bumpy but you've made it.

Oh that makes a lot of sense and there's something about paper that draws people out. I love Hank and how he and Charles work together and work differently for mutant goals.
