Elrond: Mount Doom. And it wasn't even a dream :/ Apart from that, parent!dreams. The ones where the kids get hurt, get lost, are dead ...
Clay: Dreaming about when his father hurt Callie. Except he doesn't save her because his mother is faster in the dream and shoots her point-blank. With a shot-gun.
Eric: Vampires don't have nightmares. Finding his parents dead. Displeasing his Maker. The sun. They are the nightmare. So there.
Jack hasn't lived his yet. Wait. Who am I lying to? One of the ones where his father comes in in a mood, but Jack doesn't or can't do anything.
Max: a 'what if' we fail this scenario?
Erik: some of the things that happened around the time Dr Foster was dying. Specifically, some of the things he didn't do. It's even worse when he dreams of actually doing them, because then he has to wake up to the reality that he didn't.
Alfred: It's not one. It's a broad set of the things that happened on the front lines over the course of his time in the SAS. Often rolled into the night he got the call from the GCPD, informing him that Thomas and Martha had been shot.
And, of course, Alfred is perfectly composed the next morning when Bruce wakes up. Or, appears to be.
When he's alone in the house after Bruce leaves, first for Princeton, then for 'good', He allows himself to break down for half an hour when it really gets him.
And on occasion, when there's no one else around at all. He goes down to Thomas and Martha's grave and weeps. And he weeps for the member of the Wayne family he swears he will not bury. But might not even have the chance to.
Edit: You know, thinking about this, has got me thinking, Bruce goes to Alfred for counsel, Alfred has no one. He holds his own. Back when he was in the forces, there was a great deal of support, from everywhere. Then he had Thomas, and they looked after each other. Thomas had Martha, sure, but it's not the same, it was a far more equal relationship (in my opinion). And now, now I think he holds his counsel at Thomas' grave.
I can't think of any nightmare that would stand out as his worst.
It's very likely he had some bad dreams around the time his father gave him the This-is-What-Happened-During-the-War Chat, but nothing that he's carried with him like those who had actually lived it.
And the worst of his dreams lately? Involve being walked in on by various people while with Albus. But those are more of the this-is-embarrassing variety than nightmarish.
Doc: Not counting the Old Kingdom plot and the whole "let's get tortured and tormented by a lunatic 'doctor' while you're trapped in a nightmare world" while asleep - because that was a plot-within-a-dream, Doc has nightmares on occasion. Nightmares about being caught and hung for being an outlaw are not good; worst is probably though one where he replays the housefire that the Regulators were trapped in when the US Cavalry & Murphy's had them pinned down. It doesn't end well in RL; it ends even worse in his nightmare. (Rocks fall, everyone burns, basically.)
Dan: Worst nightmare is 'waking up' to hear Mark coughing so badly he can't breathe, and basically despite trying to get him to calm down and take some breaths, suffocating.
Carl: He has a handful, mostly from actions/things that happened in Delta, but the worst is when he replays Beirut in his head and watches his men die over, and over, and over.
Skellig: His dreams are pretty twisted anyway, but the worst nightmare that he can recall is probably honestly one where he is burnt to death, wings getting burnt off, etc.
Jim Gordon: Parent-type dreams, like Elrond ^^ hurt, lost, dead, etc. (Once he goes through canon, that'll change; the brief exposure to Scarecrow's fear toxin will affect him to where he has some more twisted nightmares. Then, once Harvey kidnaps his family...HOORAY MORE PARENT-TYPE DREAMS OF VIVID DETAIL!)
Probie: Nightmare of one time he got separated from his parents at a busy mall and was lost for almost an hour.
Han Solo: Being trapped in carbonite, but not truly asleep, still somewhat-conscious yet unable to move a muscle or hear or see...that was a nightmare...and he dreams about that. Often. When he's sleeping in the Falcon it's not so much of a problem, because it is never really truly 'dark' on the ship (even in his bunk), if he stays in Milliways, he keeps a light on and something to make some form of noise. Silence weirds him out.
William has the same nightmare as Dan, but he also replays that day in Contention just with more people getting shot. As well as some times from the war and waiting and waiting for bad news.
I'm not about to ask Felix again, since the last time I did it involved zombies and his girlfriend's death.
Fluttershy's worst nightmare, I think, involves an alliance of several antagonists - Nightmare Moon and Discord in particular, but I think Trixie as well, making Fluttershy do things on stage in front of everypony.
My headcanon is that Gordon has recurring nightmares at all the places where he repeatedly died in-game because I wasn't able to get him past a particular spot easily, so he has a lot of dreams that involve horribly dying for about ten minutes straight because the dream is seemingly stuck on repeat. And I'm not counting dreams that had commentary from the G-Man, because when your dreams are being manipulated even a little bit they're not dreams, they're messages. The worst nightmare he remembers having that had no outside interference is probably the green glass dream, before he knew that there were worse things he'd caused than Black Mesa alone.
Ben ranges from Aunt Petunia or Alicia getting killed to Doctor Doom killing the rest of the team while he's helpless. Thanks to Fear Itself sometimes it's him doing the killing.
Val has Abraxas and if that wasn't enough, she has her time in the Hell On Earth Marvel AU I sent her to a few years ago.
Jessica has a mix of skrulls and HYRDA to torment her sleep.
Andrea has a lot of fuel thanks to the bouda pack she grew up in. In fact later in canon we even get to share in those dreams!
Hank's are pretty low key for now. Just things like his mutation being discovered at school and being chased through the showers.
Tavi: recurring: the Vord invading, Alera under scary green wax with bugs everywhere, burning, Kitai and his family dead, failing to protect everything he loves, etc. These are partly nightmares, but there is probably some degree of foretelling no one (especially Tavi) notices.
Lois: usually things she's lived, thanks to Her Life--paralyzed by meteor freak and drowning, the months she thought Chloe was dead--or hypothetical family dying. Oh, and sometimes she dreams about some guy in a red cape. Those really freak her out. Clark mocks her for it.
Cata lived it, thanks. If she still has nightmares about being whitewashed she never talks about it (as in: there are two people who might ever hear about it, and Sam wouldn't ask). Relatedly, Sam would probably count the moment in the Labyrinth (the one in canon around the Darkgate, which is dream-powered) where Mizzamir went through with the whitewashing.
Claudia had some pretty sharp nightmares after the Allpocalypse; while they haven't faded as abruptly as the dreams she used to have about her brother, they have faded some.
Apollo doesn't have many nightmares when he bothers sleeping. But he's definitely been through some serious shit in his time. I think he tends to count the worst as 'any time Artemis was kidnapped.'
Every now and then, a memory of the music sneaks its way into Imp's dreams. He doesn't like those much.
Regulus has a semi-recurring set of nightmares that involve Bella turning her wrath on him and/or making him join the Death Eaters. The latter part is probably going to be more prevalent after the Christmas Carol plot, for Reasons, and gain another aspect.
Red's nightmares about That Time She Ate Her Boyfriend have mostly stopped since Conversations With Dead People, I think. But I find it unlikely she got a good night's sleep for at least a week after that.
Raph will sometimes dream about the night that brought him into Milliways. That one last loss of total control that almost cost him his entire family. Then sometimes he wakes up, still dreaming, to find himself strapped to a table in Saint Mungo's.
Mike's nightmares have gotten progressively worse since his waking nightmare in the Lost and Found box. Slenderman didn't help.
Splinter's nightmares involve the worst possible things that all parents worry about.
Bumi's nightmares often include flashbacks to things he's actually seen, as well as things he never EVER wishes to see. Like...Republic City under siege. *cough*
Aang's nightmares are far too numerous to accurately list. Koh, shame, running away, Ozai, the breaking of the Avatar Cycle, death of his friends, math tests, the loss/death of Appa and Momo, and of course...not having pants when he needs them.
Ida does not dream of electric sheep.
The Loompas fear only Vermicious Knids and the Wonka...so that's pretty much what colors their nightmares too.
I think Ava's worst nightmare is the one where she thought something was attacking her and hit back-- not because of the dream itself, but because then she woke up and her fiancee had his guts scooped out.
Oh god, there are just some DEs that I can't bring myself to answer because of the real world triggery nature surrounding Tommy's PTSD and all his issues combined. Basically he has already lived his worst nightmare and will never get away from the resulting dreams.
Borgel: Oh, Borgel doesn't tend to remember his dreams. Although there is that one where he's waiting for a bus back in the Old Country and he's standing next to a purple-skinned caveman with this lumpy boil his face that dangles in the most peculiar and unnerving way. And the purple caveman pulls out an oversized accordion and eats it, which causes him to belch polkas. Eventually, a giant headless chicken shows up and starts dancing to the belch polkas. Then Borgel realizes he didn't bring enough change for the bus and wakes up in a cold sweat.
Leela: Well, apart from the whole Slenderman business (which wasn't really a dream in the normal sense), I'd imagine her nightmares tend to gravitate toward dark jungles, the hiss of horda, and the deaths of her father and sister.
Kane: Kane doesn't have nightmares. Except, possibly, about failure. But then failure was never an option.
Atrus: Many of them about his family. Catherine especially. Though his father and his sons also figure.
Tuco: Tuco would say he doesn't remember his dreams. But there's one he remembers part of. He doesn't remember how it began, but he knows it ended with him roasting to death.
Caius: The things Caius dreams about are classified.
Garyn (sandbox and future barways pup): Canonically, we know of several dreams that he has - although these fall in the "influenced and portentous" category of not-quite-dreams, all featuring a tall figure in a golden mask.
Will: The dreams about being hanged and tortured aren't as bad as they used to be but Milliways has added some new options. His friends possessed and killing each other, Crucio, being shot, seeing everyone he cares about being shot.
Charles: Being alone or being out of control, waking in the quiet of the night and not feeling or hearing another mind. Having those he loves turn away from him and say, no, you're dangerous, you're wrong, I can't know you. Later in canon, they get worse. Also sometimes he ends up in other people's nightmares, he tries to not do that as it terrifies him.
William; The same dream as Dan of hearing Mark cough himself to death and not being able to do anything. Also variations on Contention and Dan dying then other people he knows dying.
Sameth: Death, the cold river of Death, being pulled under, Hedge, Orannis,
Jane: Tom leaving her and her writing disappearing and being rejected.
Moist: Being found out, hanging, being caught, also vampires and werewolves in the night chasing him. Having to play the Game.
Demeter: Kore being gone and never returning to her. Spring never coming.
Tumnus: The blank space of being a statue, the White Witch's wolves attacking him, the White Witch cutting off his horns and breaking his legs, the Pevensies especially Lucy being hurt, spring never coming to Narnia and it being hurt again.
The Pirate King; I'm not sure, he doesn't fear much.
Until fairly recently, Elle's brain worked in such a way that she didn't remember her dreams, or what she dreamed about when she could remember them. Now, her subconscious mostly deals with processing the knowledge of what happened to her between the ages of 6 and 18 or so, and that's... not pleasant. And requires making sure she doesn't burn anything while asleep. Which mostly means she doesn't get that much sleep at all.
When Asami was younger she had nightmares like young children tend to, and then had enough severe ones after her mother's death that it became enough of a problem that her father sought out professional help for her. Since then, very little really rises to what she considers a "nightmare," even though like anyone she does occasionally have bad dreams. But she hasn't had a real "nightmare" for a long time.
Leslie's nightmares probably involve raccoon infestations or Voldemort being elected Pawnee's mayor. You know. The usual.
Manny... doesn't have to sleep, but he does, so I'd guess his nightmares usually involve monotony and his fear of being stuck where he is forever.
Marceline is probably nocturnal. I ... wouldn't make a firm decision as to whether she dreams, but if she has nightmares, they'd probably be about the Mushroom War. Or those little marshmallow kids because what he fuck are those.
Enzo used to (fortunately, he doesn't much anymore) have recurring nightmares of when he witnessed the explosive destruction of Mainframe's twin city. This was his worst memory and his worst nightmare.
Anybody here remember the Nyarlathotep plot from way way back? When the dark aspect of Dream of the Endless got loose and everybody was having their worst nightmares ever?

Where do you have Alfred set in canon?

Although, I'm tempted to hop him forwards a few more years, to bring him mostly into line with Bruce.
I'm certainly willing to thread scenes whenever people want to. Though, I don't think Alfred and Jim have any scenes in Begins or TDK, do they?
