Some other big cat species, maybe? Cougar? Leopard? Jaguar?

Ooh, a leopard or a jaguar might work! Especially since Gen's comment below gave me the "oh, wait, duh" moment of realizing lions are very social animals -- Olivia would be better suited with something more solitary.

Perhaps a mountain lion? They are solitary and very dangerous hunters.
