Sunshine: She is a girl afraid of her night job who does it anyway, though she knows it will change her life and who she is for ever. She is afraid of a lot of things (not just herself), but tries to make sure her fear doesn't hold her back from doing what must be done. She knows that to save her world is her greatest hope, but she would really like to save herself, too, if she can. Sometimes, though, you can't have both.

Halo Reach: The girl (who can be a boy if you want) works with a team of men and women to fight bad guys from another world. There are five other people on the team; the girl is Number Six. Six is new to the team; she used to work by herself. She is one of the best people at her job ever. (There is also a guy who wears green who is even better, but this game is not about him.)

Six and her team are trying to help people get away from the bad guys. The bad guys are setting fire to their world and soon no one else can leave. The people on Six's team start to die one by one. As her last thing, Six takes the Blue Lady to the Last Big Flying Space Car, where the Green Guy is sleeping. He will need the Blue Lady to help him fight the bad guys when he wakes up. Six has to use the biggest guns to keep the bad guys from hurting the Big Flying Space Car, so she can't leave with them. After they fly away, Six is all by herself. Six dies fighting.

The End

Batman Begins: A good man dies leaving behind an only child. This child grows up hating the man who killed his parents. So he tries to kill him, but does not manage to. Then he runs away. When he comes back seven years later, he has changed and has new ideas about how to deal with the bad people that own his home city. The rest of the story is him doing this and what it causes other people to do to get back at him.

Thor (the film): A being from space arrives here where he has to learn some hard things about fighting and friends before he can go home. Because Dad says so.

Thor (the character): A very strong guy (who can do sky stuff) learns to think more often but has brother problems. Good thing his friends are cool!

SKY STUFF IS COOL TOO.

Jack and Max's canon: Bad stuff is going to happen. The only way to stop it is to get the top of a very old thing back on top of it. But the top has been broken into seven pieces and hidden inside six other very old things. Other people want to do this because there is power over other people to be had.
Then worse bad stuff is going to happen and the world is in need of saving again, so people who don't like each other must work together to save the world. There is power on offer again, so broken promises are a sure thing.

Ender's Game/Shadow: Young kids are being trained to wipe out another race.

Rest of the Shadow Saga: These kids become a means to an end for those who would own the world. Lots of talking and fighting.

Doctor Who: A man runs away from his life and goes through space and time. Other people run with him from time to time. Things go wrong a lot, but he fixes them. Also, it goes makes noise when there's stuff.

LotR: This is a story about how you should not make things that make other people do bad things, and how taking things that are not yours gets you into trouble. Also about making friends with new people. Also about small white growing things. There is a lot of fighting.

Night Watch: Some things are good. Some things are bad. Some things are light. Some things are dark. Good and bad is not the same as light and dark. But there are lines all things must follow.

Hunger Games: There was a fight, and everyone who lost sends two kids to die every year in another fight. It is called a good thing. A girl and boy from the place that loses the most are sent, and catch the world on fire.

Star Trek: Space. There is a lot of it. It is strange. And full of pretty girls for the top guy to smile at.

Ashes to Ashes: Police have a hard job. Someone is looking out for them (and yelling at them a lot). There is lots of fighting. And drinking. And fighting while drinking. And a cool car.

Sorcerer's Apprentice: Sometimes promises do not finish for a very very long time. And old man shoes are cool. So are rings.

There's been a recurring ad for the Audi Quattro on most of the tv channels I watch, and it makes me smile every time.

In a city a long time ago there is a boy who is learning to paint. He will be very well known for painting, but right now he is only learning. He likes to make things up and make new things, like things to help him fly and a thing with two round things that helps him go fast. He is helped by his three best friends: a boy who is the son of a man with a lot of money who wants to run the city; a boy who does not have much money but knows about people and will one day be well known for telling people bad ways to run cities; and a girl who wants to paint. Girls are not allowed to paint in this city, so she has to pretend to be a boy.

The man who has lots of money wants to take the things the painting boy makes up to help give him even more power and money, but the painting-boy, the girl, and the boy who does not have much money try to stop him. Sometimes the boy who is the man's son is on the side of his friends, sometimes with his father. He does not know the best side to be on.

Golden Sun: It is a world where the powers of people have been locked up. A few power people take a trip to break the lock on people's powers. Other people chase them. There are fights and some people turn into things and some people die. In the end the power people break the lock and other people can have powers.

Felix: He is a guy who can use rock powers and cut things. He saved the world once. He is not happy with his life, especially since his girlfriend died.

Final Fantasy IV: One land has flying wood water cars and a bad top guy. The top guy has his men take power straight rocks from other lands. One of his men says no and tries to make it stop. He becomes a light power guy and goes into space and in the end he becomes the top guy. He is a good top guy.

Some concepts are hard to describe. Like airships (flying wood water cars) and crystals (straight rocks). Anyway, moving on:

Kain: He dresses to look like a flying fire animal. He tries to live up to what he thinks his dad would want, but his dad has been dead for a long time. He doesn't like himself much, and the girl he wants for his girlfriend likes his best friend better.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: It is a land full of little horses. Some of them have powers, and some of them can fly, and some of them are strong. The top ladies are all three, and all the little horses love them. It is a happy land and full of color.

Fluttershy: She is a little flying-horse who loves animals. Other little horses scare her until she knows them, so she lives at the edge of town by the bad thing woods. She can talk to animals better than any other little horse. She is easily scared but can sometimes do amazing things for her friends.

Aaand Cranky:He is a horse thing who is usually not happy. He met a girl horse thing long ago, but he did not find her since. This made him sad. One day he decided to stop looking and settle down in a quiet place. Then he found her in that quiet place! But he still has to learn to be happy more often. Also the quiet place is not really very quiet.

Captain Marvel: A young woman joins the armed forces because her Dad thinks girls don't need to go to college, and it turns out she's one of the best there is when it comes to flying really, really fast. One day some weird stuff goes down and she becomes Ms. Marvel. Not Miss. That's important.

Now she could fly on her own and was very strong, but her clothes were not the best for fighting. She joined a team, made new friends, fought lots of bad guys, and sometimes wrote books about it. Some bad things happened in the middle, but we don't talk about that.

Now she has a new name and new clothes. She has old friends and new friends and a cool cat. She still flies and still has her team, but she's better than ever.

Lady Mary Crawley: A young woman lives in a very big house with her family and all the people who work for her Dad. She's sad all the time because she can't have her Dad's money or job because she's a woman, which is not okay. Because she can't be happy, she's usually mean instead, especially to her sister. On the outside, she wears very pretty clothes, but on the inside, she hates herself. When she is happy, that just means someone else is about to die.

Animals, who don't look like normal animals because they walk and talk like people, fight bad guys who like to hurt good people for no reason. The animals go on trips to different places and meet all kinds of different people, some bad and some good. There's lots of fighting.

The story of a boy learning to use the power he has, but does not want, with a plan to save the world.

After the boy dies a girl arrives to walk the same road. Hers are different steps, but the plan is still the same. Save the world from the people in it, or die trying

Captain America: A good man goes to fight bad guys. He's very good at it. In the end he disappears to save his home, and sleeps for many years.

Merlin: A land could become very great with the right man at its head. A young man with powers tries to help.

Teen Wolf: The animals are also people.

The Hobbit: A small person gets his friends out of trouble a lot.

Amascut, and some early RuneScape history : A long time ago, the god of the sun and the woman god of the moving water had two children, a boy and a girl. The two children were both gods of death and being living again. But the family fought against the god of power. The family was losing, so the son found some people who helped. But those people were mean and drove the daughter crazy. She started killing everyone. Her people were scared so they tried to lock her power away, but she turned her people into cats. Her brother was so sorry so he let those cats live for a very long time. That made the girl god very scared of cats. The brother and the mean people didn't like each other anymore, so the mean people left and became friends with the god of power. But the family was safe because one of the mean people killed the god of power and that mean person became the god of change later.

The woman god of death and being living again is still crazy and very afraid of cats. She and everyone thinks she is the woman god of breaking things and killing now because she causes trouble and kills people with fire and tells people to kill other people and fear causing animals.

Runescape itself : Too many story lines. What? Do you want me to write many not true past stories books for you? I'm busy.

Fairy Fixit :Hi! I am a very small person that flies with... like a fly. I fix things, like... I can't think of the words... doors that open to places that aren't on the other side of the door? Or not really on the other side, in a sense. Doors that open to places far away! Farther than most doors anyway. But they aren't doors. They are rings made of ... I can't use that word... or that one either... not animals and teeth. I take care of the ... I can't use any words that make sense this is stupid!

Borgel: A boy, an old man, and a dog that talks go on a car ride through time, space, and the Other.

Doctor Who: A very old man from space flies around through time in a blue box. It's bigger on the inside.

Command & Conquer: A bad man kills lots of people because he likes rocks.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Three men fight over lots of money.

The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind: Big Bad wants to become a god and take over the world. Only you can stop him, because you may or may not be a dead guy come back to life. Also, no one likes you because you're not from around here.

BRB, LOLing my head off

An angry young woman is driven by thoughts of getting back at the people who killed her family. By day she is a really good teacher but at night she takes to streets to fight bad guys at night. She has bad relationships and doesn't get on well with the good guys.

Then she makes some friends.

Then she kind of falls in love with another woman.

A man fights fire and saves lives while being angry and sad a lot. He is a drunk and tries not to drink but ends up drinking anyway. He sees dead people.

JJ already summed up Thor! So:

Gundam Wing: Five guys (and friends) try to stop the world from fighting by fighting with big not-cars. The not-cars look like big flying people with guns but they are not people. Sometimes they are in space and sometimes they are not.

Firefly: A flying space car and its people try to make money and not get caught by the space police. This is hard. Sometimes there are towns and horses and sometimes just space. Some of the people are still angry because of fighting that's over now.

Claymore: Women have powers and big sticks they use to kill things. One woman has less power but we like her anyway. She has to stop things from killing a friend she likes. Other friends have to stop things from killing her, and one friend gives her an arm. Then life gets weird.

But what about the people who eat other people?

When we see the people who eat people we run away. If we can't run away then the girl who is missing some brain parts kills them so they can't eat us.

PFFFFT. 'Missing some brain parts'. How I love this.

Strong Bad: A short man who wears a red face cover and boxing hand covers. He wants to be with ladies, but they don't want to be with him. He answers letters on his computer, often in ways that are jokes.

Néo: A young girl from a town of people with both man parts and woman parts, who spends most of her time with no clothes on and must decide whether she will be a man or a woman by how she makes love for the first time.

The Cheat: A little bright-colored dog thing with black spots who hangs around the short man with the boxing hand covers and helps him lie to people. He has a very high small voice which no one can understand except maybe the short man.

Later, I may try to explain the people from stories that are harder to talk about using only these words.
