So you know how music videos sometimes have little to do with the song playing? Or sometimes they do in a weird way? Well, I was wondering if any music videos reminded you of your pups. Now I'm not talking songs here, just the videos. I'll give a few examples in my comment (which should be first).

On the flip side, tag in with pups and see if anyone has suggestions.

Since I know this might be doomed to failure, as extra credit, post in with themes for your pups, fan vids, or songs that make you think of them regardless.

For Ben, Martini Ranch's Reach is very him and I honestly couldn't tell you why.

For Jessica, The Pretenders' Don't Get Me Wrong; though she does have her own theme song.

For Hank, I can't seem to help myself, Thomas Dolby's She Blinded Me With Science though some Duran Duran keeps coming to mind, mostly Rio or Is There Something I Should Know?

And going a bit deeper now that I have work down to a simmer.

Songs for Andrea: Fun.'s Some Nights, Green Day's 21 Guns, and P!nk's Blown Me (One Last Kiss) and a fan vid for Hank & Raven.

I honestly don't remember the last time I saw a music video other than fanvids, and most of the ones I do remember don't match up with any of my pups. As far as songs or themes go, I have a better chance there... but it's going to take me a bit to come up with them. I'll try to tag back in here later today.

Some of my pups come from movies with really good music. So the soundtracks for Batman (1989) and PotC always make me think of Knox and Gibbs. And I play those a lot.

Alas, the music for Captain America was instantly forgettable, so if you ask me for music to play Howard Stark by, and I will say Glenn Miller.

I'm not big on music videos, with a few exceptions. So this'll just be songs.

Felix is hard to pick for, because for a long time he was filtering quite a lot of my music inputs. But at one point I was planning to try to get a couple of his canonmates into Milliways to run a plot directly based on the Scarlet Pimpernel musical, so I'll go with Into the Fire.

Fluttershy has a fair bit of canonical music already, but we're looking for non-relevant stuff. So what comes to mind there is Here Comes the Sun, on which she commented once. I don't remember what she said, but behind the words I definitely got a distinct sense of "this is pretty lame for a Winter Wrap-Up song."

A bit out of order, but let's do Kain next. His song is Discord (TheLivingTombstone's remix of Eurobeat Brony's song).

By the way, someone remind me to put in a request for Marsh from the Mistborn books next time the App-This-Plz post comes around.

Cranky's song doesn't appear to be on Youtube anywhere, but it's "Dinosaur Blues" from Sandra Boynton's Philadelphia Chickens.

Of course, if anyone has other recommendations for any of these they should feel free to offer.

Thaaaaaat might be the only one I have, sadly. I'm not heavily steeped in the Vid community, and goodness knows artists don't make them nearly as often as they used to.

Autor is playing Mendelssohn's "Spinnerlied" (Spinning Song) when he's introduced. Given that his sole desire on the planet is to be a Story Spinner, it's a fitting theme.

ETA: Oh, for the Princess Tutu canon, there's Hold Me (Håll Om Mig). It's ridiculously well done, popular, and spoilery as heck.

My Hero by the Foo Fighters is pretty apt, both the song and the video. (I've wanted to make a "Rescue Me"/Tommy fanvid with this song but could never find the software that ripped the video files correctly...)

I probably would never have associated The Dandy Warhols' I Am A Scientist with my pups if it weren't for this excellent Tenth Doctor fanvid. With that to set the stage, it makes a pretty good song for Dr Thurlow.

"Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo is an excellent song for Aradia already (not to mention my favourite song in general), but this Nightmare Before Christmas/Corpse Bride fanvid makes it even better. Also you could argue that she has a couple of music videos to her name already, as a fairly important Homestuck character: [S] Wake and [S] Make Her Pay.

I've got whole playlists for both of 'em. Those are the only songs with relevant videos what I have actually seen, though.
