It's Sunday, and a sunshiny day here in Texas. Come pull up a couch cushion with us and share your awesome. RP? RL? Fic? Cooking adventures? Crafting? MORE? We want all your awesome! Get 'er done. ♥
Kate and Tommy's NYC adventure finally comes to a close. With 400 friggin' tags. SO RIDIC, IDEK. We realize that this is the most TL;DR of TL;DRs, but we had so much fun doing it, and if anybody reads up to the 54th tag and is actually compelled to keep reading, you will be rewarded with a gold cookie.
Really, Lohengrin? All you had to do was cut a bitch and suddenly you're all right with Autor?
I was talking with Autor-mun about this and she was like, "Now they're in an 'I bloodied you' relationship," and I went, "That is the weirdest relationship status ever. And our pups can never have Facebook."
I can't even imagine what Lohengrin would post on Facebook, but Autor would stalk the hell out of it anyway. (His own profile would be private and filled with nothing but lies by omission.)
I had a week off and slept a lot, introduced a friend to Becoming Jane, saw Deep Impact and Hansel and Gretel, streamed most of Boardwalk Empire and did a lot of RP. I think I actually feel ready to go back to work tomorrow, some things still suck but I love my day-to-day work.
My favorite thread of the week is Jane and Tom post-canon, its one of those threads that hurts a lot but I love it and threading them again. She also has a Milliways' EP, was silly with Oswin, amused by Thor. I finished a fic for her that I need to edit and post that fixes the pain of canon.
Demeter gave Hoshi hugs after all his awful stuff.
I got a few threads done, although I need to do more than that. Ellen's managed to freak Autor out completely by discussing her world, along with showing off some of her weapons. That's always fun. Currently running a recon thread to set up for plottage, too...
I also got hold of some more of Santo's canon. I'm not really having that much fun with Operacion 67 yet, possibly because it's not as insane as the other stuff I've seen so far. I'll probably watch the rest of it at some point if only because Santo himself said in interviews that it was one of his two favorites, the other being Santo Vs. the Vampire Women.
And on the home front, I have successfully produced homemade fruit leather- blackberry, specifically. Essentially Fruit Roll-Ups with two ingredients, namely 'blackberries' and 'maple syrup', pureed together and poured out onto baking parchment and dried in my dehydrator. I'll be trying again with other fruits later today and making preserved lemons, too, although those won't be ready for weeks from what I understand.
Yup, Autor is sufficiently awed/freaked out. (He also likes the homemade grenades.) And apparently I dropped one of those threads due to stupid! Would you like me to tag in again?
Also, Santo. There are not enough <3s in the world for Santo.
You're more than welcome to tag in again! I thought you'd stopped because I hadn't given you enough room to come up with a response- I have trouble with that sometimes, and I'm sorry about that if it happens. Feel free to PM me whenever a situation like that comes up. But, yes, if you want then by all means tag back in.
Well. As of this week, of three Ph.D. applications submitted, I've been admitted at two and waitlisted at one. Not too shabby. And I also gave a damn good lecture based on my thesis topic (which I am still writing). And some other stuff. And I'm currently en route to visit one of these Ph.D. programs.
So that is why I am so bad about threading lately -- even if it is a total joy to play the Ron Swanson to aberration's completely fantastic Leslie Knope. Check it!
It's a busy week, been keeping up on my slow tags & working on school work mostly.
Oh, and fic. Lots of fic. The A-Team (of all the weird things) has eaten my fic brain so I've been writing quite a bit.
And school continues to be a thing, getting everything sorted out for my transfer into ASU in the fall and this semester's classes pretty much have me buried in stuff to do.
OHMIGOSH I almost forgot the most awesome news! I'm in a book! A real book that people are actually reading! I wrote an essay on my textual sexuality for Mona Darling's Glitter that is not only *in* it, but the very first! So I'm all kinds of excited about that.
Real life has been kicking my ass, so I've not been RP-ing much. I've totally been tagging some two month old threads today though!
I've recently started following Unfuck Your Habitact on Tumblr, and I'm really proud of the fact that I managed to make significant cleaning progress in my bedroom and maintain it all week. This weekend I finally found the surface of my desk.
Also I found some opponents I can best at Mario Kart. They are... pre-teens. *hangs head in shame*
After discussing vampire romances with Sunshine, Autor and Oswin fight off a bitey book! (Earlier in that thread: feels.) Oswin then proposes the next round of "Let's be Self-Destructive": hopping in a pick-up truck when neither of them knows how to drive. Woe.
Apparently Lohengrin's cutting a bitch was beneficial for Rabastan, too: he and Autor are finally, finallygetting along. Sort of.
Punie has also taken an interest in Autor's manly, "just a flesh wound." The thread has just started and is going slow (my fault), but there is no way it can end well for our not-so-intrepid hero.
And the busty-wench!Poins thread is still going strong. There's too many blushes to link, but most notable is the Modest Proposal.
The Autor-Sunshine thread was wonderful fun, though I feel kind of bad for accidentally dropping it. I got distracted by moving stuff to my house and a long-planned knitting retreat with my hometown's knitting community. Would you want to continue with the thread, or shall we simply fade where it is and have them meet again sometime soon?
It was! Knitting is awesome, and moving stress is completely understandable. I tend to leave tags open forever, so if you're inspired, please feel free. But, if you want to simply fade and begin anew, that would also be fairly awesome. Ah, Sunshine... <3 So much.
Knitting IS awesome (I just finished this project), but your Autor is also awesome. I'll be around on and off tomorrow - depending on the weather, which is supposed to be nasty - so I'll tag when I wake up tomorrow morning. We can get their current thread to a nicer fade-point within a couple of tags, I'd think, rather than leaving things hanging. Sunshine'll have to introduce him to all her morbidly-named diabetic-coma-inducing treats, someday soon. :)
In other news, I'm currently in my fourth watch-through of Princess Tutu (following along with the delightful Mark Watches community), so I keep giggling whenever Autor's on the screen. :D
Yay, Mark Watches! And nooo, now I'm paranoid that I'm playing him far too much from my headcanon. x) Also headcanon: self-denied sweet tooth. Yes, really.
Those mittens are the most badass knitting project I have ever seen, bar none. Wow. See you in the morning!

Also! There are whisperings of plans for a 2014 Milli-Rodeo, cowboys and cowgirls, if you've interests.<3

Also, after their previous meeting, Jack has another talk with Ellen. And then went for a walk in the desert.
Finally, over in sandboxes, Alfred and Zoe met and prickled.

I'm laughing my ass off but Lohengrin is mortified.

Charles has an open EP, met Clint and earlier in the week talked with Gus.
William is helping Andrea out.
Sam and Leslie have been having a long and winding talk.
And a late starting thread but one I'm enjoying, Will and Hotspur are sparring.

Santo did bartending this week and gave the Knight some advice, of which I was fairly proud.

This was Andrea week for me. She got a canon OOM and an EP.
I also started reading The Night Watch and I am hooked in a major way!
