Kind of lousy, as a sinus infection is kicking my ass. The last time I had a major one it went on for two weeks, and now week one is almost over and I'm still feeling really crappy. Probably didn't help that I was out in the cold all morning yesterday, but whatever, I was practicing taking photos at an outdoor hockey tournament. It was research.
Anyway, while I was able to sit upright, I managed to post an OOM. I should mention Kate Barlow's related OOMs as well. Good times for Tommy/Kate 'shippers.
And I am 2/3 of the way through The Night Watch and seem to have found a new head voice. We'll see if he sticks around as I've promised myself to wait until the big work project is done and Andrea slows down a bit before app'ing anyone new.
Then, he wanders into the bar and talks to Boyd (still in progress), which is absolutely blowing me away so far -- and, like all the best Justified episodes, puts me in the ever-conflicted position of feeling sorry for Mr. Crowder.
TUNE IN NEXT WEEK WHERE THINGS CONTINUE TO BE AWFUL I mean what.
RL has been pretty good -- I spent a day as a news producer for school, which went well (and I enjoyed it a lot!), and yesterday I think I interviewed the actual coolest lady in Chicago -- but really, everything is Percys and nothing hurts. *boogies with Adiva FOREVER*
And on the serious side of things, Fakir's back and he and Lohengrin are not having a good time of talking. (But the muns certainly are. XD ) In that same post, Autor and Fakir finally meet and good lord am I excited to see more of that.
I have some RP stuff I should probably put here, but frak me if I can remember what it is right now. I do know that I finished Climb to the Top 2013, sixty-six floors from the mezzanine of Rockefeller Center's GE Tower to the rooftop access on Floor 69, in 18 minutes 28 seconds and raised over $2500 for MS research, therapy, and treatment.
Man, I didn't get to check the firefighter wave to see their performance times- they have a bunch of FDNY guys and gals go up around 7:30 every year, in their gear and boots. Last year's times ranged between 14 and 22 minutes. I saw at least one firefighter in gear on the screen when they were trying to find my souvenir picture (they never located it), so I know they were there, I just don't know how they did.
Can I just thank everyone threading with Leslie for being so patient with me? I love you all, and the only reason I take so long to tag is that zomg she has so much energy and that's a lot of energy to play, and it's that combined with me just starting doing work for a group and it's... intense thinky work, so my brain is basically fried. But I love you!! And I will keep tagging back for as long as you want!!!
This week has been chaotic and weird for me. I had a snow day on Wednesday, Monday was spent teaching high school students how to research Whitman and Dickinson and somewhere in there, I'm slowly accomplishing things for work. Work is still hard, but I'm getting it done.
A by product of snow day and the weird feelings of work means I've been doing a lot of writing and RP. The DE of prompts was fantastic and I wrote some fics I'm proud of then and had a productive TwitterFic Friday partly on my journal and finished a fic I've been working on for ages.
Too Deep to Wash Away, a fix-it fic for Becoming Jane that I've been working on since 2011.
Also I've started on this odd fic of Charles and Bryce Wayne with added Kite. Part 1 and part 2 and I have no idea how many parts it will end up with.
Tumnus had a strange conversation with Paya, and I think he is partly the Pevensies' mascot. Its not the best phrase but it works.
William had an EP, talked to Ava, Guppy, and little Balthazar. He's also having an nice talk with Steve McGarrett from Hawaii-5-0 in the test drive DE.
I haven't wanted to write Rabastan half as much as I do now that he has someone to talk to and bang heads with regularly [especially the latter, if this is an indication. :S
On the RL side I managed to hatch a shiny Piplup after just four eggs. I've never gotten a shiny I was hunting for with the number of hatched eggs in the single digits before.

Despite this, I brought Andrea in for a bit of fire arms practice (meeting Alfred, Lohengrin, and Clint Barton), she went to Ellen's world for some Recon and then started a paintball game. I think I am learning enough from this game to make the next run smoother. =]
I'm also liking the friendship she is developing with William Evans.

Charles reconnected with Natalie, met Natasha, and Franklin Richards. Then over in the sandboxes, 18 year old him talked with Billy Beane and Tourmaline. I think that's everything.

Also I bred two rare colours of a hard-to-breed species, got my second Level 100 creature, and now that the game has nekomata I have a memorial to my first cat, Brett.

....While also writing absurd amounts of Danny and Steve.
And, thanks to MilliRodeo and the machinations of a certain someone, am testing out The Sundance Kid in the test drive meme.
