Around the Worlds in Eighty Days: A Plot Proposal

One of these days I'm going to get around to scanning that panda bartender from the Eats, Shoots and Leaves calendar I've been saving for years, so I can have the plot-proposal icon I've always wanted. Anyway...

Felix has left the bar. But he'll be back! And it seems to me that it would be interesting if he were to... miss, on his way back. And end up in someone else's world. Call it a calibration issue, since the purpose of his leaving is to get his magic back.

(what there is of it...) The idea here is that Felix would end up in a different world each time he tries to go back to Milliways, until I relent or someone else decides to bring him back themselves. Length of the visit could vary dramatically, depending on what's going on in the new world or how its magic (if any) interacts with his own or how grumpy he's feeling or any number of other factors.

Any takers? Questions? Official notifications that I'm getting in way over my head?

Any world of my pups' is available as an option, although I don't think you want to wind up in Mass Effect given that it's high tech and Mordin is currently in a Very Secure Location where strangers without security clearances and devices would get shot. Ellen's world is available, as is Varric Tethras', Ray's, even the world of Mexican wrestling movies...

I'm good with any of them, really, although my Ghostbusters headvoice is on the wane so that's not very high up on the list.

The Mojave Wasteland of 2281 is also available, although Arcade wouldn't be able to come to the Bar himself to get Felix back- he's also on the road with Corazon at the moment so that might make things difficult.

I'd be tempted to offer up Andrea's world though they haven't met. How would he deal with magic coming and going every hour or so?

Basically like a light switch. One moment technology stops working and magic does. Anything more technologically advanced than the basic mechanical simply doesn't function during a magic wave, though sometimes phones do as "no one really knows how they work anyway". When the magic is up, any form of magic works.

During a tech wave, magic sleeps and isn't available, though for Andrea being on non magic worlds I am allowing that she has a "battery" of magic she carries with her which she can use to turn into her beast form once but if she changes back to human, she will need food and a nap. I'd be open to the same working for Felix if you'd prefer.

I can also have Andrea sent to investigate the weird idiot who's stumbling around making a scene. = ]

I fully endorse anyone picking up the books. \o/

If you've ever played White Wolf's World of Darkness games, I've always thought of the series as what might have happened after all the WOD apocolypses happened or someone took Mage, Vampire and Werewolf, threw them in a blender and hit play.

As a possible last point, Claudia's got access to a door to Milliways that stays put!
(For added fun, Joshua's being apped in this cycle, and his soon-to-be-mun's interested in bouncing Felix to CERN first and then tag-teaming him off to Claud.)

We are grokking that very point!
There is the possibility of Joshua bringing the sword to Milliways for safekeeping, and the odds of producing papers that would pass muster are very high. Or we can... try to think up some other way around it.
Worst case scenario, dumping him directly into the Warehouse is a possibility (may be necessary, depending on app processing vs. how quickly this gets moving, but I doubt it). But Quinn really wants to get Joshua in on this, if possible.
