Renee got an EP! And I get all smug when I break out one of my underused pups. Loved all the threads - Michael's and Bumi's went on for a while.
(And flirting is totally okay if it's with an Archangel, right, Helena?)
Dick and X continue to have the most adorable big sister/little brother dynamic in the world.
And in Slowtime Land, Robin has a crush on Molly based on the facts that a) she's his age and b) she's a girl.
Elsegame I am playing a grown up Dinah against all the teen superheroes and it is AMAZING. Also I wrote and submitted the longest app I have ever written for Miria - another Claymore from Teresa's canon. If anyone ever wants to know about Teresa, Clare or Ilena in the bar, I'm sending them here forever.
Well, my my 4-day, sub-par-paying, tempt job magically transformed itself to a 10-day, sub-par-paying, temp job. So I'm going my best to remember 10 days > 4 days > No Days > No Pay at all. I lost another jean size, and I'm somewhere at like three months for drinking green smoothies every morning, and maybe 4-5 months at having had three meals a day (for the first time in....god knows how many years).
I saw Carmen the opera done by The Met. I joined some awesomely Geektastic meetup groups lately (for Whedon, Who, Sci-fi everything, Gaming, etc) and that's brought some really awesome people into my sphere suddenly. I went to a comic con in town as Miss Scarlett, where I picked up nifty geeky shirts, prints, and a light switch cover.
Of Milli-News: Audrey was approved this week and her entrance with Nathan is almost ready. (Plus, I've gotten to steal Gabby for 2 fo 3 watching parties for watching through season 3 of Haven, which have been hilarious and awesome, and 3 of 3 complete's tonight I think!)
Eh, I could have tried hanging around the more anime centered parts of the con to improve my chances but I like western stuff too much. I don't think I saw anyone else cosplaying Princess Tutu so there is that too.
Thanks! I just couldn't find an appropriate yellow brooch in time And I couldn't find that weird jacket used in his uniform, so I substituted a sporting jacket. Do you have any idea what that jacket could be? It has no lapels or collar. It is almost like some kind of vest...
There was also a lack of faceplanting on my part. :D
I have no idea. I've heard the term blazer thrown around quite a bit in reference to Princess Tutu. Google search confirms that, yeah, blazers sort of look like that!
Still, I think you did a great job, faceplanting aside.
I got my new character approved, who happens to be Hannibal Lecter, and then I played him all the time and with everybody.
At his first EP, he mostly refrained from flailing and learned all that was necessary, he learned about worlds where CERN makes anti-matter or where people live in a dreadful post-apocalyptic future, he met vampires and mutants, and a time-displaced draughtsman before going to a vegetarian gourmet happy hour, and a barbecue outside. He had no great difficulty believing the evidence of his eyes, and seems to enjoy the bar so far. Outwardly, he seems very polite and helpful so far; if he is somewhat scary, that's only because the muns know who he is (including the occasional, obligatory awful cannibalism pun). I don't do much narration for him, especially no internal narration, as his canon never does that -- Hannibal is always the Other. But I am sometimes privy to what he thinks, and plan to eventually do a meta post on his journal, cook_the_rude, translating some of his more oblique or mendacious utterances, and talking about some of his tells.
In real life, I made an awesome salad with pomegranate for a family gathering. When I cut open the pomegranate with my (t)rusty gothic bread knife, a dark red liquid slowly seeped out and stood on the cutting board, ominously viscous. Inner!Hannibal nudged me, saying "You see why I like these fruit..." And then, the salad was awesome, pomegranate juice spotting the raw mushrooms in it pink, and ruining my father's best shirt. It looked impressive on the plate with dark, sweet crema di balsamico, and I got all the praise for that salad. Pomegranate was the right choice for making it stand out from ordinary salad.
Hannibal is fantastic and you are fantastic for playing him so well. *applauds!* I'm looking forward to that meta post and tagging him when my brain comes back. :)
Thank you! And yes, I guess he gets a new EP when I'm back home from my fambly thing tomorrow evening, and he and I would feel honoured to welcome Autor on that EP...
Not sure when or why started to suspect he was Maru's, but it was before I noticed the bit in... I think it was his OOM with Ganymede?... where she copped to consulting with her friend "the Nazgûl" on his kendô technique.
Oh, you read that entire OOM? Which wasn't even started as an OOM, merely as a test drive, and after the first 300 tags or so we decided we wanted to keep it as Millicanon as it would be helpful, and we liked the thread anyway.
Oh, and the Nazgûl passed her first dan examination in kendô today, by the way. I will carry on consulting with her about Hannibal's kendô practice in past and present. I noticed him doing kendô in the movie version of 'Hannibal Rising' (in the book, I think, he gets to use an actual katana right away, which is just silly and what the Nazgûl would call 'bullshidô'), so I decided to keep that aspect as headcanon as my best friend can serve as a resident expert anyway, and she keeps talking about kendô with great willingness when we're cooking dinner of a Sunday.
I didn't do as much as I planned on this week. This is my first full week without school and I meant to do more job stuff but instead I slept, wrote and went to the zoo. Life is in a weird limbo place for me, but in three days I head off to Chicago for the ALA conference.
In things I did manage to accomplish, I ordered and bought some beautiful business cards for myself, wrote a blog post about the end of the year and two fics: Last Midnight, a Charles/Erik one and Harder than Steel an Emma/Raven one. Both fics are smutty. I'm hoping to try and manage another blog post today if I can get my writing brain in gear.
RPwise, I've been fairly busy as I have time. A couple of threads I've done have been linked above so I won't list everything.
I gave Tumnus an EP that didn't get anything but he and Invincible had a great conversation.
William has an EP which is still open and Moist flirted with everyone.
Then in the sandboxes, I was very busy with teen Charles and Tiwa, both posts are still open. I think my favorites of all those threads are Dick and Charles' friendship, I love how they work and Christina Wells who's fascinating.
I guess I did more than I expected, its just tough getting from working full time into school's over and into need to find a job mode.
I am, (omg) on day seven of a seven-day stretch at work... I'm going to do all the sleeping in tomorrow, it's going to be awesome. I also managed to finish the doctors schedule through August, went through my Chief of Staff observation by my boss, met the Worlds Cutest Pug Puppy (omfg, his name is Augustus, and he has white little toes, and he's freaking adorable), and nothing has died, and everyone seems mostly happy (except maybe for the lady who didn't like that I didn't somehow magically make her dog better with no drugs and no testing, idk, left my magic wand in the other white coat, go away lady), and I finished some of my prompts but I shall FINISH THEM ALL even if I have to do them tomorrow and I'll totes take more because fic is fun, and finally got in contact with the new bebe vet I'm mentoring for the next three months (poor kid, they're inflicting me on her, whatever did she do wrong), (PS guys, I get a bebe vet, bebe vets are the most fun vets, it's gonna rock), and this week (later this week) I get a three day weekend and I will have to Do Something To Celebrate, but I don't know what yet, and. Things.
Summer vacation means I suddenly have lots of time on my hands to do important things like catch up on new YA lit, spend too much time staring at Dylan O'Brien's face on Tumblr, and read all the Teen Wolf fic.
The big RP excitement of the week was that this guy got approved as my newest pup! And for fun, I decided to mess with his timeline, cause, you know, all the crazy werewolf stuff won't make his life complicated enough. :) 16 year old Stiles stumble into Milliways to discover that the people he met here as a kid don't know him yet, but he's able to catch up with some old friends (Bar, natch, and Charles Xavier), meet some new friends (Claudia, Joshua, and X), and have an actual conversation with the object of his affections (Lydia).
Seriously, y'all, I'm having so much fun with this and everyone I'm threading with is amazing. :D I'm usually the slowest of the slow when it comes to tagging, but I've somehow managed to keep up for once and I'm loving it.
Stiles is on his way to becoming an honourary Donovan, by the way. Considering how much both Claudia and Joshua have adopted him. :D? He reminds Joshua a bit of himself at that age, which is actually probably kinda dangerous.

Tommy gives William Evans relationship advice. This may or may not end well.
He then finally meets Autor. Ahahah, oh dear. Tommy is conflicted. Autor is either his greatest annoyance or his greatest audience.
Tommy and Lou then arrive for a short but sweet food-related conversation with Sunshine.
Both guys got OOMs as well, one for Lou, one for Tommy.
In progress, Tommy meets Jack West, because one cannot walk into a bar wearing a fire helmet and not have Tommy talk at you.

I also did some last minute rpging last night but the threads are so infantile I'm not going to bother listing them.

I do feel I should do a full write though sometime later as I've burned the dickens out of my finger with hot glue tonight.

eta: Oh but it seems to have shoulder pads. Never mind, then. Collarless blazer it is!
