Respect people who're different from you. Just because you don't like an idea doesn't mean it deserves to be suppressed. Don't govern your life by what strangers think of you. (Thurlow wouldn't recommend completely disregarding one's reputation, because it can be a useful tool, but it's not the end of the world to go against your reputation or to be thought of as weird or unpleasant.)

Also, if you're going to do ill, pick a target who can afford the loss. Or who deserves it.

Helena doesn't like rules. There's not one thing (or a couple things) that she really has solidly as 'rules'. The closest thing, I think, is probably something close to Joshua's 'nothing is impossible'.
