I did nothing! OK I started to but then work happened and stuff and well I think I needed a week to sort things out in my head. I am feeling much better and likely to get to things this week.
I also did my first yoga class and love the instructor. It was lots of deep stretching but I think my body needed.
Oh and I wrote fic, only a short thing, but I had seen this very serious and painful movie, and felt impelled to write something to deal with that world of hurt...
I thought I should have a flower crown icon for reasons of fandom and that thread we have; I just picked a random one off the Internet. When I get back home, I'll photoshop one with hydrangeas, which were Saph's suggestion.
Hydrangeas suit the reader perfectly, yes. Autor would waffle between, "yes, that's about right," and completely indignant; he gave one to his lady love.
It kind of caught on as fandom’s way of balancing the darkness and tragedy and gore by being silly and light-hearted, and imagining the characters - instead of being traumatized - having a nice day.
"They (the flower crowns) seem to represent how happy the show itself makes the fans, as opposed to the actual EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE tone of the show. What did I have at the beginning of the finale recap, something like *table flip* and then *hugs show forever*? That’s what the flower crowns are, the way you feel about the show itself as opposed to the way the show makes you feel when it’s putting you through the wringer."
They suddenly started turning up on tumblr on general, and then, when things on the show took a decidedly sharp turn towards the very dark and painful, it was a stab at preserving levity, comforting all the feels, and generally expressing love for the fandom despite all the augh and the highly jargonised wailing.
You know, one could almost write a dissertation on flower crowns in social media, if one were studying a suitable subject...
I had a Gabby and a Debi this weekend and it was awesome.
I am also having a summer sale on my NYC and Brooklyn photographs: http://notabutterfly.dreamwidth.org/272729.html -- reduced prices, reduced shipping, and a brand new batch of photos. Have a look and help a starving artist out by passing along the link.
I was woken up twice this week by phone calls from schools, arranged movers and gave my thirty day notice for moving out of Michigan. I've liked living here but I'm ready to move on. Oh and I wrote some snippets of Pacific Rim fic on my journal which I should do more with.
In terms of RP, I've been a mix of tagging out and EPs and I'm thinking of putting up a MM and PFSB EP today.
Charles and Alan worried about each other, he talked to Guppy about some concerns of his around Milliways.
Tumnus had a fun EP. I love threading him with kids as he seems to work best with them.
William was confused by Joshua, fretted over by Sallie and got on oddly well with Grantaire.
Will has an EP that's open and partly inspired by how thanks to SDCC my Tumblr dash has been full of him being adorable with the X-Men cast though with hair that's more like Will. He also spoke to Ambriel.
I haven't done much RP. I have been planning a monster of an OOM, though.
This Friday I watched the film annalalaiath helped batty_tweets make for the 48 Hour Film Project. It was a Superhero flick :-D. I didn't get to help because I have no car and live outside of Albuquerque and public transportation on the weekends is terribad. D-:
I did try threading but QUIIIIIINNNNN! YOUR TAG!</whiny like an annoying thing>
I made a short film in 48 hours last weekend. And after enormous amounts of technical difficulties, horrible events and massive amounts of no sleep, managed to get it together in time to have them put it up on the big screen Friday.
Bonus, it got a great crowd reaction and my crew who worked with me on it was very pleased.
\o/! I was away all weekend, so I'll be slow myself as I play catch-up, no worries there. I'll chuck her at him right now though, for whenever! Hurrah! :D
Participated in the winter party, which was quite fun and a nice thing to have in such hot weather. And set things in place for a couple of OOMs for Howard Stark.
Who has canon thanks to his role in the Agent Carter short. Time to adjust my plans for him.
First of all, whoo! Lake Party! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did, and thank you all for tagging in! A+ snowball fights, ice skating, chatting, and snowman shenanigans. Huge shout outs to Mia, Korra, and Rabastan mun for set up. Note: Please let me know if I've missed a tag; my inbox exploded over the weekend. I'm also open for more threads on that, if someone wants one!
And now Hannibal: - He did indeed tempt Ganymede's puppies - Next, he spoke with Little!Rae at the Lake Party (and made Autor rather uncomfortable) - Then, Sunshine made terrible rather clever puns for his bistro names - And now he's teasing Autor about flower crowns and the role of writers with respect to their audiences (ongoing).

My iPad now auto-completes both Hannibal and Lecter three letters into the typing; it has learned that those are often words I want to use...

Cleolinda Jones said it best:

It's a tiny 'finished' list, okay?

Would you mind a terribly belated Maria Hill, or shall I just wait for the next one? ♥
