Sunday Indulgences!

How is this not up yet? Did Ray's retirement post do us all in or something?

I have no witty gifs, but don't let that stop you. Bring your tales of zombie ass-kicking, your OOMery of feels, all of it!

I'm still shocked that Gene Hunt and Nicholas Angel not only got through two entire threads without insulting or threatening one another, but seem to have reached some sort of mutual understanding about one another. I almost think Milliways may have been safer when they were at one another's throats.

Vyvyan may have to initiate the pair of them into his new gang. Gene bought him food.

Also a round of applause for the zombies.

Seconding this - both the Vyv and the standing ovation. Thank you for your entertaining, plot, sir!

I killed off Urquhart! Write was so kind to do me the favour of having Gene Hunt shoot a zombified Urq. And yes, he's not coming back. I wasn't doing anything with him any more, and this was his chance to go out with a bang.

The best quote from the thread was doubtlessly Gene Hunt saying, 'You've died here before. Snap out of it, you girl' to him after he'd turned.

Also remarkable: Hannibal had a friendly chat with Javert which he then later analysed with Guppy and Ganymede. He is intrigued. Hannibal intrigued is probably not a good thing.-

Third and lastly, I posted the links to all the OOMs with Teja and Pyrrha we'd been slowtiming all summer and autumn. With that, their break-up has definitely officially happened on August 19th.

Seems I was quite destructive this weekend, RP-wise. Actually, they were long-considered plans that simply both now came to fruition.

Urq's death was moving! Well done to both of you.

Thank you! Yes, it was a very special moment. I had killed charries before, but never one that I had that long, in that permanent a manner. In my old elsegame, I had one that I killed dead, but I had him only for a few months and had made him in order to kill him off for the sake of long-term plot; and another I had for a long time, but I had him come back as a ghost occasionally.

Its been a quiet week for me, but I've had some fun RP stuff tossed in.

One thing that makes me happy is that Sameth has been busy this week and I'm slowly reupping accounts to have all my icons again. He's going to make Gaeta a new prosthetic, which will be a fun project. Also in the Zombie plot, he's been active fighting with Quinlan, Natasha, Michael Westen and Ava that just started.

In aftermath of zombies, Charles and Moist learn of Urquhart's death and then Moist and Franz have an EP. That's still open though Franz has a new home with Gavroche.

Not involving zombies, William Evans is worried about Lord Blakeney and big brothering him.

Charles is thoughtful about various afters in Joshua's Happy Hour.

I think that's all my major stuff, its been a week when I've felt on the edge of sick so I haven't done as much.

Surprise! Zombie attack! Having never seen death before, Autor was completely prepared for the swarm of... oh, who are we kidding--the kid nearly fell apart shortly after his thread fighting one off with Gavroche, and still went back out to cart people back to the infirmary. He did, however, have an emotional breakdown while watching over the concussed Oswin overnight.

The next morning, Autor's bad habits--not eating, not sleeping, self-testing bruise removal paste, over-exertion on the carpet--catch up to him once Bones snags him in the infirmary while dropping Oswin off. The doctor scares respect into him, which is impressive.

I... I did not intend the boy to be this injured.

Does the bruise removal paste work?

TL;DR: Yes, it does, thanks for asking!

[personal profile] herr_bookman 2013-10-28 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
It does! It's based off of the magical version from the wizarding world, back when he was devouring the HP canon. He made it back in February--to prove to Rabastan that he could, of course--out of yarrow root (which apparently has some bruise/inflammation reducing properties) and a number of other things I've handwaved from the bar.

The paste will fade of a nasty bruise in five or six hours, but he was trying to reduce the time even further. Seems three hours is the plateau, but the cost of ingredients makes the speed not so much worth it, and then there was the one time he broke out in hives...
