Unfortunately the office I work in doesn't exactly encourage dressing up.

And Tommy is getting the hell out of Milliways for the rest of October so he doesn't have to deal with anything else weird or traumatizing (Slenderman and being put into Keira Knightley's dress was enough last year, thanks).

Lord, I wish I had the time to do a Cw/DP OOM. I don't even have time to write it out! (Busy, busy week at the work in advance of a big Art Spiegelman retrospective at the museum.)

Being rather Jewish, I don't do Halloween myself (as it is a pagan holiday that morphed into a Christian day). But my pups will be around. Howard will be wearing armor (but not THAT armor). And Cy will be Swamp Thing (mainly because I like Swamp Thing).

I haven't completely decided what I'm going to do. Joshua is going to have a lovely Conversation with someone, Helena and Val are likely going to dress up, and I think I'll let Fantine just be for this one. She's not really ready for anything in particular.

As for me, I'm likely going to wear my Joshua cosplay to work, (ok, I admit, it's just me wearing pants to work with one of my Session shirts, but I'll -feel- like Joshua, and that's what matters) and minkhollow and I might go somewhere in the evening.

I was going to go to a midnight showing of Ender's Game, but there doesn't seem to be one in ALL OF HARTFORD. No, this isn't a peeved mun. Not at all.

I'll probably stuff Ellen into some kind of outfit, but she doesn't really celebrate Halloween as such. In her world October 31st marks the day the black rains fell after the Great War, and anyway it's part of a multiday religious of the Brotherhood of Steel, marking the founding Brothers' exodus from their original location to the Lost Hills bunker that became their home. She finds getting stuffed into costumes really, really weird.

I've been considering Shephard but I don't know what to do with him. He's had conversations with all the major dead people I can think of that he might need to talk to, unless it involves some of his siblings or his father, and he doesn't really have any unresolved stuff with them that he finds particularly pressing. Not that I would object to somebody being suggested, mind. I don't know if I'm going to change his outfit, either, unless it's because Bar wants to horribly embarrass him by temporarily changing his uniform to reflect the fact that he's got command of a ship now.

There are so many dead people Pentecost could talk to. I don't know that I'm going to go for any of them, though. As far as costumes go... I'm moderately tempted to have Bar decide that he needs Heimdall's gear for a day or two. Because Heimdall.

I am dressing up as Simon (ala Adventurer Time) as my daughter is dressing up as Fiona and the meta was too tempting.

The only pup I have a definite plan for is Jessica and she's going to be a pony for the holiday.


I was tempted to make her a dridder (my old timey D&D brain balks at a female dridder to be honest) but I decided the kid plot was enough trauma for her this year.

No plans for CwDP, though it is tempting to have smuggler Korvas (aka Quinlan) have one with his padawan Aayla.

I also have plans for a first EP on Halloween for my newest pup but I can't decide if Bar will morph him or not. If I do morph him, it will be something seemingly plain, like this:

I'm sort of waffling between sticking with my fallback costume as the Fates, or, since I'll be lining the front walk with skulls on stakes (and one stake with a Vacancy sign), keeping a mortar and pestle with me and calling myself Baba Yaga instead. No idea how to give myself iron teeth, though, and I will still sit on the porch and spin.

Enzo will have other things on his mind, and his Conversation with Dead Person is already up!

My workplace allows dressing up, but I can't think of a good costume that would still allow me to get on my knees and effectively scrub toilets all day. I'm open for suggestions.

Twilight will probably be dressing up, as will Vanellope, but I'm still trying to figure out exactly what they'll be wearing.

I am (still) completely undecided on what to do with my boys, and whether they get anything at all depends on my brain re: making icons and...well, deciding on what to do with them. Also, how much work I get done over the next couple of days. I do tend to miss practically every Halloween here in the bar, as well as all the other dress-up holidays, largely because I'm lazy about icons. And decisions. But I might make a special effort this year.

I have no idea how I forgot about CWDP this year - it took a reminder last week for me to start thinking about it. I'm kind of stuck, but there'll definitely be something from the Frenchmen, at least. Probably Gene too.

As for me - no. Halloween has never been a Thing for me, so I won't be dressing up, or doing anything. I'll probably go to a film.

I've no ideas for Autor re: dressing up, and the only dead person he has in his life is Urquhart, which might be Too Soon for all involved. I also have no idea what they'd speak about.

Aang is going to take advantage of the "Conversations With Dead People" angle and come in as an adult. So...that's kind of like a costume.

I'm toying with the idea of having Bumi come in and being changed into an Air Nomad. But...it might be too mean. I haven't decided yet.

I usually toy with the idea of having Splinter, Mike, and Raph revert to their natural forms for the holidays, but...I should probably run that past Sallie and Abigail before I do so.

No one really wants the Loompas or Ida to be any scarier than they already are, do they?

As for me? I'm thinking of revisiting my "Doctor Killinger" outfit for the show I'm running sound for on the actual day of Halloween.

I've been thinking of putting Charles in a costume because he hasn't been hit with that particular Milliways' weird yet. I just have to decide which one. Anyone have any ideas? My personal favorites are Tom Lefroy, gorgeous Regency tight pants, Wanted, tight leather pants, MacBeth, chef's outfit and also leather pants or Tumnus just to really confuse him. Though Tumnus might be a good lesson in not looking human and having his legs work how he expects them to.

For the others, I don't have anything in mind, but I'd love suggestions. Will's been hit with Halloween a number of times so he gets a break.

In terms of Conversations with Dead People, I don't have anything planned for mine since I haven't had ideas. The zombies were more than enough Dead to last Sameth for ages.

Possibly in the emergency department, not so much where I work at the moment.

We don't get a lot of drunks. My department generally consists of about 10-20% dying of smoking, 40% disabled by smoking, 35-45% non-smokers with pneumonia, and 5% dying of obesity suffocation :/.

It's kind of depressing to be honest. Lots of deaths, lots of bad news to break. Plus you get the odd person who stops breathing properly at random moments... I'm getting more used to it now though, which makes the day to day stuff easier, and I've finally got my boss on side after two months of worrying he thought I was hopeless.

And no, wind only got up to about 40mph here, didn't even blow the covers off my garden furniture. It was bad down South though, couple of fatalities. Did the news make it across the pond then?

Halloween isn't that big a thing over here in the Antipodes, but my manager has given me permission to wear my cleaver earrings on Thursday, so \o/ (not that...you'll be able to see the fact that I'm wearing earrings shaped like big knives due to my hair, but oh well).

No real plans for pups this year, but Natasha may get a CWDP if I feel up to it.
