As those of you who regularly put up with me in chat may remember, it occurred to me a little while ago that we'd never had Ziggy Stardust in the bar.

Which seemed wrong, somehow - not least because in nearly ten years of Milliways, that means that Ziggy Stardust and Zaphod Beeblebrox have never had a drink at the bar - and so I'd like to throw him in, just so that people could say he'd been there.

(Not least because that struck me as being a very David Bowie reason for something to happen.)

So, I have set up this boy - picked_on_you!

But if Ziggy is going to be in, I feel like he really ought to have something more than that to do - possibly, something based in the story his album was designed to tell, about an alien who comes to earth as a rockstar in the five years before the apocalypse. Except... I don't really know what plot precisely.

So... consider it officially thrown open to the comm! What do you guys think? Any ideas? It would be fun to get the Life On Mars/Ashes To Ashes crew on board, given the theme naming, and as I say I'd like to get Zaphod Beeblebrox involved in some way (which Cass has kindly agreed to help out with).

HALP, FOLKS. Please?

I would say you could have a Gene - and of course, you can! - with the caveat that he'll only be vaguely aware of who he is, being canonically not a fan of pop music.

Beats the heck out of me, but if you do want to run with the alien thing, I'm willing to Millicanon Thor being at least peripherally aware of his people (or even Ziggy himself) if you want him to be! Although that does make the apocalypse thing complicated.
