Upcoming Plot - Krampus Abductions!
As you've probably heard, pups on Father Christmas' "naughty" or "Ministry of Elf Error" lists will have to deal with something more than a booby prize this year!
In Austria and the Alpine area, St. Nick doesn't work alone. Krampus, his demonic companion, handles the children who've been bad... by stuffing them in a sack to eat them, or dragging them off to hell in chains.
Our version won't take them to hell, but to the labyrinth, where pups will have to fight their way out.
How does the plot work?
On December 30th, Krampus will post into the bar, and people will tag-in to be abducted. Next, abductees will be scattered about in pairs--picked or randomized--in the labyrinth, set up in a party post by Krampus.
Somewhere in each area of the labyrinth is a door with a Δ of Daedalus leading to the next room, which pups will have to find. Each threading pair will be randomly assigned room prompts (eg. Cyberpunk, tundra, vampirocracy, etc). Muns are encouraged to interpret these however they like in their single labyrinth thread. The last door of each thread leads back to Milliways, where a showdown/winter party will take place in a post on January 6th.
Also, as a bonus twist, Krampus will interfere in threads whenever he pleases. We don't promise tags, but they might happen at any time to keep people on their toes.
What about pups in the bar?
Autor will be staying behind to explain to those who haven't been abducted where all of the other patrons are going, as the Krampus is a childhood demon for him. At first he'll be trying to figure out what's going on, but will post a note on the bulletin board once he witnesses an abduction/realizes what's happening. By all means feel free to report missing people to him!
What's this about a party?
On 12th Night, January 6th, Krampus will be blocking the exit to the labyrinth, whereupon he'll be ritually defeated by Father Christmas. Afterward, there'll be a winter party and dance to celebrate the escape. Fancy dress and refreshments will be magically provided gratis, so no need to worry about cleaning up after the labyrinth!
Miscellaneous Business
Please keep in mind that this is a framework, and that the plot is meant to be as flexible as possible. People have already proposed a number of variations--such as being abducted while interfering with someone else's abduction--which is great!
Also, Krampus is a monster, not a god, so while there's sort of a power-limit on those he can abduct, we are more than happy to work with anyone who wants their pups taken.
As with any plot, communication is essential. Please keep in contact with your plot partner, and if you have any questions, ping Cass, Maru, or Char.
So, there will be one tag-in abductee post (Dec 30th), one labyrinth post (Dec 30), and one showdown OOM/12th Night party post (Jan 6th). Questions? Comments? Sign up below for the Krampus plot, and here for FC's nice gift list.
Current Sign-ups: Hannibal-Noriko, Javert-Valjean, Ichabod-Alex Drake, Shufti-Enzo, Vanellope, Sunshine, Katya, Simmons, Uther, Wonderella
