Substitute Weekend Entertainment!
In light of the proximity to Christmas...
Your pup has to host a family and/or work gathering.
How badly (or well) does this go for everyone involved.

As he's currently unemployed, a work party would consist of a few brews and mince pies while working on the bike down in the garage. Preferably with the music up LOUD!

Clara / Oswald: ... It'll go fine. Once she relents and orders in food.
Katya: Actually hosts very fun parties. Provided her dogs are locked up. Also, the participants run the risk of having a hellish hangover the next day, if they're not careful.
Ace: Doesn't... really do parties. Much. Sorry.
Blakeney: Doesn't much either. Or rather, doesn't at all. He's looking a bit wall-eyed at the idea, actually.
Balthazar: ....noooo, just... no.
Glorfindel: Elvish parties are the best parties - lots of singing, lots of dancing... more singing, more dancing, and moooore singing and more dancing and we really hope you're not tired 'cause they're going to be doing that for a while.
Haymitch: ..... yeah. Um. No. That'll be a party for one, with his bottle of still-brewed alcohol.
Bones: Could throw a decent party, actually. Nothing too fancy, but he's got Southern charm on his side when he chooses to use it.

The Brucolac does good parties. Not showy or meant to glorify himself lookin' at you, Garwater but all the people of Dry Fall get their fill and have a good time, no blood sports, no floggings.
Uther and Jack are both a little awkward. It's not their jobs.
Wonderella's parties would probably end up being revenge for all the nasty pranks her friends and family have pulled on her on her birthdays. But with more alcohol. Yeah...
Judah can do parties. He's a little spacy (okay, a lot spacy) so he'd probably forget some things but he's so charismatic that nobody would mind much. Anyway his friends are socialists and all about doing their share, so.
Butch Cassidy! That's who you want hosting your party. Nice guy, plans ahead well, will make sure everyone has a good time. Just ask the girls at Fannie Porter's.

Bruce Wayne: has no family, bar Alfred, so work do it is. And they always go well, because there are caterers, and the guests will be the sort of people who know how to dress nicely for society gatherings. Plenty of small talk, and polite laughing all 'round.
So. I suppose there's a given definition of going 'well', because wow this sounds like a boring party to me. But people are fed, they drink champagne, they converse pleasantly enough...yeah. :\
Bruce Banner: well, he's organised. But not the most gregarious fella, and has virtually no social circle. Plus, he'd be a nervous host because, Hulk. So there would be music, and drinks, and food, but might be a bit of an awkward affair. Though as he has no family, it'd be a work thing so everyone would talk about science.
Javert & Valjean: one has no family, one has one daughter. Neither have friends. One has colleagues that he separates himself from, the other doesn't officially work. Both suck at social niceties. Any party either of them tried to give would be a) extremely sparsely attended; b) socially awkward to the max.

If, on the other hand, it's a Women Soul Reapers' Association gathering (which I may well be called on to host, due to the recent loss of our Supervising Chairwoman), my main difficulty will be keeping Kusajishi-fukutaichô from getting so far out of control that she annoys oniisama.
As to heibon-kun's other "folken" as you put it around here:
Strong-kun and The Cheat-san are likely to have fun at their guests' expense, or to attempt the thing but have it backfire.
Protagonist-san would do best with a private, presumably virtual, gathering of his closest friends — Meier-san, Marquez-san, and YT-san.
We have records of Mercer-san hosting a Christmas party for the Æon Society's founder members, and it went quite well. Donighal-san is expressing his doubts, but I think his efforts to be a more social creature have paid off.
The less I say about the shiki, the happier we'll all be.
I'm told Landers-san was the sweetheart of her world, so I'm sure she'd be an excellent hostess.
Ralph-san would be incredibly nervous and, left to his own devices, make a mess of everything. Luckily for him, he knows this, so he'd probably call on Felix-san to assist him, or Schweetz-hime, or both of them, with results that might not be what he had in mind, but which would still be fun for everyone.

Any actual party that Amascut hosts tends to happen by accident and without much planning.
Fairy Fixit is likely to host a magic!science kind party with lots of cool toys to poke. If it is a work party then it will be super magic!science nerdy. I still haven't figured out how families work with the Zanaris Fairies.
Evil Chicken has no coworkers and no living family, and he is also one who only hosts accidental parties.

Charles would throw a great one as well since he's very social and good at knowing what appeals to various groups. His mother was a major hostess so he learned from her and adds what he knows from his telepathy and fantastic party.
Moist would prefer not to host a party but would do a good job with it as he's great at reading what various groups want.
William probably wouldn't throw a good party, he doesn't have a lot of practice with them.
Jane would host a wonderful one since being a proper hostess is part of being a woman in her era and she's social.
Sameth wouldn't throw that great of a one, he would happily help Ellimere put one together but wouldn't be comfortable being the organizer.
Demeter would put together a fantastic party, nothing fancy but all the guests would feel at home.
Tumnus would throw a good party as its something he likes doing and he's gotten better since being at the castle.
The Pirate King would throw a great party, chaotic, fun with lots of drinking.

He's still pouting over not being able to decorate the tree in the traditional Viking fashion, by stringing entrails around the branches.

Henry: wonders why anyone left the child in charge. Runs around. Adorably tries to do a few things, totally fails due to having no clue. Emma, Regina, MM, or someone just helps out.
Eriond: ...It goes just fine. Because he will just wave a hand and make sure everyone's comfortable, make sure everyone who ought to be there is there, etc. Oddly, it wouldn't feel like he's a host. Just "Oh hey, everyone, it's our family dinner! No, Polgara, you're not cooking this time. Go play with your twins, they want their mum!" and everyone relaxes.
Lois: ahahahahahahahahaha it depends. If she is just in charge of organizing the small army of people Getting Things Done, well, she is General Sam Lane's daughter. She can get it done, effectively and precisely. She might also just get drunk during it depending how stressful. So probably pretty well for everyone! Until she gets drunk and says the wrong thing, or until a supervillain attacks. If Lois is cooking... run for the hills. EVERYONE RUN.
Tavi: is... not much of a host as such. In a strict family setting, he'd be like "Oh look, we're all here! ...Uh... food. ...Aunt Isana? Can we have food." But he's sliding into commander mode. At this point, for 'work gathering' he kind of has people he tells "make this work" and it works. This trend continues. Tavi has minions.
