Daily Entertainment: Irritation Edition!
Good Morning, Milliways! Have you ever noticed that whenever you're late, you hit every stoplight on the way to where you're going, or your Mode of Public Transportation is always late? That is why I present today:
Irritation! What irritates or annoys your characters the most? Is it something that someone else does, or is it something in their world?

Knox: Cheap publishers that don't reimburse for legitimate expenses. Editor who demand big words in place of ones people understand. Being stuck in traffic because the police are chasing a supervillain in a silly car that no one could possibly miss, and yet the cops do.
Cyborg: Beast Boy. Also, Beast Boy. On occasion, Beast Boy. But especially Beast Boy. (And BB is his best friend. Go figure.)
Gibbs: Incompetent seaman who can't tie a simple knot. Bars that won't let you run a tab. And anyone who insists that bathing is good for you.
Howard Stark: Senator Byrd, a cost cutting zealot who never met a project he didn't think could be funded for less, or even cancelled. Pentagon red tape.
Charlie: Bad wiring in car engines. And for some reason, umbrellas. (OK, I just made that up, but it seems like the sort of thing he would choose to be annoyed with just because.)

Thor: Loki. Disrespect.
Enjolras: Grantaire. People flirting with him (specifically, rather than people -- okay, honestly, I mean men here -- who interact with the entire world with impartial flirty undertones).
Trowa: Trowa works hard to not be irritated by things... but of course he doesn't actually totally succeed, because he's human. Ergo: civilians being naive, which he finds heartening and irritating in more or less equal measure. This is true in both Milliways and at home.
River: People asking her to repeat herself, or to explain a specific word choice. People looking at her as if she's an experiment or an interesting specimen, or otherwise trying to figure out how she ticks without a lot of friendship behind it. Jayne. (That's half a joke, but only half, and of course it's mutual. He's crew, but he's annoying crew.)
Regan: Oversteeped tea. Being dismissed (unless she's gone into the situation deciding she wants to be), or being repeatedly misinterpreted. Loud people.
Clare: Her organization handler? I'm not sure; there's definitely stuff, but I'm having trouble pinning it down into something easy to articulate. People getting in her way during a yoma hunt/fight and not having the sense to realize it and shut up and get out of the way, I suppose.

Stitch on caffeine is a close second.

Katya: Flavored. Vodka. Seriously, what is that? Why would you do that to perfectly good vodka? Or even horrible vodka, there's no call to make it taste like cupcakes, or circus peanuts, or... and this is real, sushi. Whut.
... The rest of mine don't seem to be inclined to answer today. Um? *pokes at them with sticks*

Sherlock: Boredom. People who can't think as quickly as he can. Small talk.
Vlad: Spineless, gutless weaklings. God. Vampires who sparkle. Srsly wtf.
Vert: Teetotalers. Baristas. Hufflepuffs. (What? Where did you even get that?)
John Silver: Men without vision. Rules. Frozen dinners.
Olga: People who ask stupid questions about what annoys me.
Earl: Slackers. People who lie to themselves. McDonalds.
Dejah: Therns. People who say 'magic' like it's a real thing. Therns.

I am always here, cherie. Any bottle of absinthe, in any bar, on any day of the week.

Plastic and its prevalence in the modern world.
Bottled water.
Historical inaccuracies being stated as fact about people he actually knew.
Thomas Jefferson.

Helena: People who insist on treating her as a weak woman, the old-boys-club nature of much science fiction
Valentine: Her brother and people who agree with Demosthenes.
Mark: Benny. Pretentious idiots, people who won't get out of his shots
Fantine: Parents who ignore their children.
no subject
Hank: Math that isn't adding right, interruptions during experiments, bad mouthing Raven.
Andrea: Boudas, poor discipline, a poorly kept weapon.

Fairy Fixit: Users who refuse to think, religious fanatics
Evil Chicken: boredom, routine, chickens who aren't part of the revolution

Charles: Anyone with a closed mind to the idea that the world isn't how they think it is, those who take advantage of another's weakness or fear.
William: Cruel men who use others to get what they want, cowards.
Ivan: Miles Vorkosigan-or to be more specific, people who try to make the world bend to their will and don't always pay attention to the side effects. Also people who want power and don't see people. Can you tell I have a type?
Sameth: Scientists, he appreciates trying to understand what he does but he gets tired of going, no, really its magic.
Jane: Anyone who underestimates her and also those who get off on other's thinking them scary or superior for an arbitrary reason.
Demeter: Her brothers who are asses that don't use their power well.
Moist: People trying to catch him because they find it amusing. He doesn't mind being chased, its part of being a thief but when someone gets off on him being scared, that's not right. Its too much like what the vampires and werewolves of Uberwald do.
Tumnus: Anyone who tries to scare others simply because they can.
The Pirate King: Frederic or people who are good without understanding and don't think or enjoy life.

Chuck -- your face. Unless you are a puppy, if you are a puppy you can stay. People who disrespect rules and authority. (It doesn't count when it's Chuck, HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING. hypocrisy is great.) Being teased about his accent.
May -- disorder/her ordering systems being disturbed. People who interfere with how her life is supposed to run. People who hide information for reasons she doesn't find valid. Anyone who tells her to smile (she smiles when she damn well wants to).
Legolas -- people who keep talking about their boring lives he is so bored oh my goodness.
Quatre -- Quatre is irritated primarily by inefficiency? He's bad at irritation, but it does irritate him. What mostly irritates him is hindsight inefficiency, like "oh I could have done y instead of x... sigh."
That's all I got right now and I have to run to an appointment so! <3
