Daily Entertainment: Long Weekend Edition!

Good morning, Milliways! How is everyone this Friday? Because all I can think about today is the meetings I have to go to before I have a long weekend, here is today's Daily Entertainment:

Long Weekends! If your character were to have a long weekend (if your character doesn't really have a 'weekend' per say, let's just say a few days off in a row) what would they do with it? Catch up on chores? Go have a party? Go into work anyway?

On the one hand, Knox likes long weekends. Like to sleep. OTOH, he's a reporter. News is 24/7 so he often carves out alternative versions of such things to account for being on duty if need be.

Kirk works. That is his way. Lord knows what he will be like now that he's semiretired. But long weekends are not for him.

Gibbs is a pirate. For a pirate, every day can be a Saturday. Or a Monday. Calendars mean so much less.

Howard Stark tends to go away. The advantage of owning your own plane.

Cy expects some villain to do something and ruin his free time. But he will always try to do something fun. Like have a pizza party.

Charlie isn't one for long weekends. Inactivity isn't for him.

Jess is a super hero and they don't get long weekends. They also don't get regular bank hours so there is some trade off.

Hank would likely catch up on scientific publications he's missed or visit museums.

Anton would go stir crazy if he were by himself. He'd also likely last a day before Gesar or some other person would show up with some puzzle that needed solving.

Andrea would read and clean all her weapons. She'd also check her ammo and clean her personal armory.

Most of mine don't really have normal relations with time off, but...

Thor is never really off-duty, but he does like having unscheduled time! He'd hang out with his friends. So this is pretty normal, but at a longer stretch than usual, is all. Maybe they'd ride out into the countryside or something.

Trowa would... do what he usually does on days off. Feed the lions, practice daily, keep checking up on all his online stuff, but use the free evening/afternoon hours to either go wander the nearest city or sit around reading or let Cathy drag him along somewhere. He might go visit Quatre or another friend or something, depending on their schedules and the transit time.

Enjolras in life, uh, had a fairly desultory approach to attending class anyway. He'd go, but not if he had more important things to be doing. And he didn't have a regular job. So a long weekend would be nice in its way, but hardly unprecedented. At Milliways, basically every day is a day off. (I really need to get him a job; his failure to get one so far is his mun's fault, not his.)

Clare doesn't have days off. If she does, she just kind of... kills time. In other words, what she and Teresa have been doing the whole time they're here! Sitting in the woods, watching people, etc. Ambriel has delicately suggested that Clare might want to acquire a hobby or read books or something, and Clare has made occasional tentative ventures into the library to investigate this novel notion.

River also doesn't really have a regular job; they're freelance, and there's a lot of downtime and transit time. It's nice to have a few days to play tourist on a planet or moon, or to visit friends who don't live on Serenity, though.

Regan does have a job, and it keeps her pretty busy. A few days off would be LOVELY. She'd probably use them mostly to just relax at home and glory in the free time, but she might take the chance to drag Gabriel off for an afternoon's leisurely activity -- dinner out somewhere nice, or an afternoon wandering, or a night at the symphony, or something.
