Daily Entertainment: Hot Beverage of Choice Edition!
Because I am in severe need of my tea this morning due to it being a lovely ten degrees out here in the wilds of New England, I bring you today's Daily Entertainment:
Hot beverages! Does your character drink coffee or tea (or their world's equivalent)? Would they prefer hot cocoa, or do they just not really like hot beverages at all?

Kirk has his coffee black. He's something of a coffee addict, and wants nothing to come between him and his caffeine.
Knox likes coffee strong but with lots of sugar and a little milk.
Howard is also a black coffee man.
Cy never got into the hot drink habit. Give him a Soder Cola any time.
Charlie goes for herbal teas, and avoids caffeine.
And Gibbs prefers rum.

I think she may tolerate coffee, but she does prefer hot cocoa. Bitter and dark is fine with her.
For Fairy Fixit, hot cocoa, sweet, is more of an everyday drink but tea is a nice treat. Special, almost.

Alanna makes her own coffee on the road and it is horrible. Like thick tar. Her friends refuse to drink it. She has been growing more accustomed to tea, in particular George's favorite blend.
Thayet likes tea and hot chocolate.
Jim likes his coffee the way Alanna makes it. That's what he's used to, anyway.
Elizabeth is partial to tea, of course, but any hot beverage is appreciated.
Grace likes anything so long as she has whiskey to put in it.
Derek likes hot chocolate. With marshmallows. Shhhhh.

Helena is British and Victorian. She drinks tea with just a bit of milk.
Fantine loves cocoa, and the fact that it's so inexpeinsive in the bar because of modern powders is a wonder to her.
Valentine doesn't really go for hot beverages. She prefers a soda or just water.
Mark's a coffee boy as evidenced by canon. (Let's play Spot where Quinn got that reference from!)
ETA: Also, as for me, I am the official Tea Snob at work. I have a teamaker at my desk, and I drink looseleaf tea like it's going out of style. Adagio and its fandom blends are amazing. I've considered making Milliways blends for people. Just cause.

It might be an interesting DE - we've done similar ones in the past, with drinks recipies (whether actual ingredients or metaphorical) - for people to try and come up with a tea blend for each of their characters.

If he had a modern understanding of all this stuff, he would probably cut way back on coffee for health and lack of caffeine addiction reasons. He doesn't, so he doesn't and won't.
Thor has had coffee! He thinks it's delicious! (He has also had various spiked coffees, thank you Aphrodite, and ditto.) Caffeine doesn't really do anything to him, though, so he just likes the taste. Same with tea -- I'm not sure if it's an Asgardian thing, at least with Camellia sinensis, but he's certainly had steeped tisanes of various sorts both medicinal and purely beverage. And he has had and enjoys hot cocoa, although Asgard adds a few spices that'd be unusual to human tongues.
Basically Thor likes most (though not all) foodstuffs. So. I don't think he defaults to hot beverages, but he enjoys them.
River drinks and likes tea. She does not like coffee. Hot cocoa's awesome, though! By and large she goes for cold drinks more than hot ones, but that's not a hard and fast thing.
Regan drinks a lot of jasmine tea, although it's decaf after a certain point in the evening. Coffee she's acquired a taste for, and she likes it fine, but she doesn't drink it habitually. Maybe a cup on particularly tired mornings; if so, she likes sweet cappucino or other sweetened milky coffees better than straight-from-the-percolator.
Clare barely consumes foodstuffs. She hasn't had coffee or cocoa; I'm not sure if she's had tea. She doesn't much see the appeal if she has.
Trowa drinks coffee, although he mostly sticks to decaf because he doesn't want to pick up a caffeine addiction -- both on general principles, and because he wants to make sure that if he wants to use coffee as a stimulant it'll be an effective one. He likes tea fine, and drinks it upon occasion -- usually when someone else is offering. Left to his own devices he'll go for green tea or mint tea as often as not, but he'll drink whatever you give him, and he has some private nostalgic associations with a couple of specific varieties (which can be reason to drink that or reason to drink something else, depending on his mood and the context.)
And as for me, I hate coffee, enjoy hot cocoa when I'm in the mood for sugar, and drink tea enough that it probably makes up an appreciable part of my bloodstream by now. Um.

Safely away from civilization.
Maybe on Asgard.

Surrounding property might not enjoy it quite as much, of course.
(But Thor'd scruff him and toss them both out to the mountains to have fun there. I bet Stitch could be distracted briefly by the flying.)

X: Now imagine if this happened in that time you were wearing medical scrubs and no one else could throw him, either. Yes. Shh.

(Thor also has a pretty high tolerance for "whoops, there went several pieces of furniture and a chunk of the wall..." as long as it doesn't ruin anyone's livelihood, admittedly.)

Yrael - likes coffee and most sorts of tea. He tends to stay away from mint teas in general, though, and doesn't much like hot cocoa.
Zelgadiss - tolerates tea and enjoys coffee, but prefers mulled wine.

Charles loves tea, Earl Grey is his default though he does have points when he drinks coffee, its just not his favorite.
Jane is a tea drinker.
Sameth tends more towards tea but if he's having a warm drink its probably going to be spiced wine.
Ivan needs his coffee.
William needs his coffee as well and truly appreciates the high quality of it in Milliways. What he drinks at home is cowboy coffee which has some coffee in it. Also he enjoys hot chocolate.
Moist needs his coffee but will drink tea if it makes more sense with whoever he's around.
Demeter tends to drink tea more than coffee though sometimes she does like a proper Greek coffee.
Tumnus is a tea drinker.
The Pirate King is a tea drinker as well, Ruth makes good tea.
I'm a tea drinker since I don't like coffee and living in New Zealand just confirmed how much I love it.

Clara: Not only makes tea, she makes good tea. This is something of a self-defense mechanism around the Doctor. She will, however, have coffee on the more trying days.
Oswin: ... Would like a cocktail please. Though she'll take a chai tea if it's available.
Bones: Wants coffee. So much coffee.
Katya: Will take sbiten, thank you.
Blakeney: Is a bit confused about the whole question.
Glorfindel: He'll have a nice mulled wine, if you have it.
Simmons: While she does like tea, there's nothing quite like coffee for getting through a long lab day. Or... you know. Lab several days because you got distracted and sleep is boring.
Haymitch: Doesn't have time for hot drinks - he'll take his alcohol straight out of the bottle.

They're not a morning person at all, so a cup of less aggressive coffee is nice to wake up with. They save the Darkdrop Coffee for when they need to get an extraordinary number of things done. In addition to the overdose potential I just illustrated, it's also hard to get ahold of.
Tea, on the other hand, is a staple of their diet.
I personally hate the taste of coffee (which is unfortunate because I love the smell) and find that the caffeination just vanishes into my system and never comes back out. (ADHD makes stimulants act weird.) I like tea with copious amounts of sugar, and hot chocolate. Generally I drink juice or soda, though, because it takes less effort to pour out a glass or fetch a bottle/can from the fridge than to brew tea or mix cocoa.

Daoud like herbal tea because he knows how to prepare and blend himself. He has several special blends he keeps for special occasions.

Sherral drinks black tea, with no sugar and only occasionally milk. Not very good tea, it should be noted: Good tea does not comprise a large part of the Archadian Army's supplies, and even when it does, he drinks what's proverbially known as 'a builder's brew' - that is to say weak, rather watery tea.
Wan is also a tea drinker, although he drinks green tea primarily. That's when he drinks tea at all: Like Yugo, he's mostly just water.
