I got some new graphic novels, an art print for my wall, and commissioned a drawing of Alyx which may or may not end up getting used as icon fodder. (I got the artist's permission, don't worry.)
Also, there was a person cosplaying as a Tumblr anon and handing out word-balloon-shaped sticky notes with compliments on them.
I did little bits here and there. Did a wonderful OOM with Karou & Brimstone (though really that was last week-ish but was posted this week), Hank had an EP to start his stint with the IMDB flu, and I had fun with a newish head voice for the future over in Dear Mun, Scott Lang from the upcoming Ant-Man movie (I think I even stirred up an old Milliwayser!).
Plots for next week include EPing Brimstone as himself (i.e. not looking human) and Hank thinking he is a zombie. Quin may have some screen time as well.
I've had a busy week and last weekend. Last weekend, I went to Midwinter ALA conference and came back with connections and four bags of books. Also I applied to three jobs this week and have some librarian blogs I want to write about the conference.
In terms of RP, I've been doing some fun stuff as Jane was patient zero for IMDB flu and made me realize that I have a small Selina Kyle headvoice.
Jane had one EP as herself then one as Selina plus tagging out to Jason Todd, that thread hurt. DC is mean and Jane is going to hate herself when she finds out that she stole some of Charlie Keaton's money.
William is slowly getting sick and talking to Jason and Tommy Gavin.
Elsegame, Ivan had a great thread with Matt Jamison discussing family, secrets and expectations. Also Charles is threading with Will Graham and its painful but wonderful.
I am having wicked amounts of fun with Karou. Her OOM with Brimstone makes me happy. Alex mentioned Cyborg and Karou above (SO FUN) and Gavroche-Karou also wrapped (SO FUN). I'm sure other Alex and I will wrap the Stiles-Karou thread sometime around Spring Break, but it is likewise SO FUN. Are you sensing a theme?
My flight on Flight Rising just had its festival, and I managed to earn 700+ tokens [and spent most of that] by the time it was over. I also got at least one of the event chests [which contain exclusive festival skins in them].
I may resell them, plus a couple of this year's festival familiar at a later date.
I also joined Lioden, which is a lion SIM, and customised my males, plus bought four custom females. And I will probably customise some of the ones I picked up while exploring, as another treat to myself.
RL-wise, my move is set for the 15th, and I cannot wait.
New place. Better place. Better location. Hopefully quieter neighbours...
Finally finished the Tommy & KateHalloweenplot! (What do you mean Halloween was back in October, I have no idea what you're talking about.) This is what happens when one has neither the time nor brain for anything else, so hopefully you'll be seeing more of Tommy in the bar. Also thank you to Kate-mun for putting up with Tommy's NPC family.
Well, my apartment got robbed. With me still in it. I was on the toilet and heard the door open, and thinking the guy entering was my roommate, thought nothing of it until I flushed and came out of the bathroom and he bolted. He took my roommate's PS3, his games, one of my DVDs, and my flash drive. That kind of put a damper on my day. Throw in Philip Seymour Hoffman dying and that dud of a Super Bowl and it's not exactly my ideal Sunday.
But on a lighter note, Caius got involved in the IMDb Flu plot. His transformation will continue to progress this week. I'm also going to throw Jim in. Garyn also participated in Tower's last EP.
Glad you're okay and that the guy ran off instead, though. Material things can be replaced. And hopefully you didn't lose any important data on your flash drive.
Just some movies and TV shows and such. With the TVs I have currently the flash drive is no good without the PS3 (the only USB slot that seems to work), so I'm nearly as upset about this as my roommate is.
