Daily Entertainment, Crowds Edition!
Friday! There are a million people in my committee space!
In other news... Milliways! How are you all today? Are you having a fantastic day or a terrible one? Hugs if your day is terrible, and hugs if your day is fantastic!
Today's Daily Entertainment is:
Crowds! How does your character do with crowds? Do they get social anxiety in groups, or does it energize them? Or do they just avoid large groups of people altogether.

Sunshine is pretty good in crowds, being a generally friendly person, but she'll focus on one or two people at a time so she doesn't get overwhelmed.
Yrael loves crowds. Whether the cause and mentality of the crowd is good or bad, a large group of people together in one place is often a source of quality entertainment.
Zelgadiss haaaaates crowds. He always feels like people are staring at him. Though, usually, if people are staring at him, it's because he's acting particular squirrelly as he tries to keep a low profile.

(When he was a very small Parisian gamin, he used to go out and make his way through jam-packed pedestrian and carriage crowds just for the sheer joy of it and because he could.)

Enjolras is very used to crowds too; he spent the last several years of his life living in Paris, after all, and spending a lot of his time in cafés with groups of friends. He tends to be a reserved, quiet one in the midst of that crowd, but all the same I'd classify him as an extrovert, because it energizes him to be around people. He'd much rather sit in a crowded café to read or write or think than do so alone in a quiet room, most of the time. And he's certainly willing to stand up and call attention to himself (quite dramatically if need be) if he feels it's warranted.
River is also a people person, but she can get overwhelmed by crowds, so whether she's up for a large group of people depends on the day. She's more likely to gravitate towards hanging out with one person or a small handful of 'em. I'd call her an extrovert too, but her psychicness adds an extra complication. Back in the day, she was more keen on big groups than she is now, though similarly fine with small groups too.
Regan is about where River used to be: fine with crowds, fine with big socializing groups, fine with one-on-one socializing or small groups. She does sometimes need to have alone time to recharge, but she runs on the assumption that most of her time will be spent around other people.
Trowa doesn't mind groups, but he doesn't get energized by them, or indeed particularly interact with them. He sees himself as an outside observer, still and always. Basically, Trowa is a loner, and that's true whether he's in the middle of a crowd or sitting alone in his room. (But he's a loner who's intensely loyal to the few people he's close to. Either physical activity or the quiet coexistence of people doing their own individual thing in the same room is his preferred means of hanging out.)
Clare doesn't object to crowds, but she doesn't know how to interact with them. She also sees herself as an outsider, but more an intruder than an observer. Trowa takes mental notes; Clare finds her target, kills it, and moves on. She doesn't know how to interact with small groups or single people either, really, but other people are sometimes willing to step up and take the lead in making an effort there. She doesn't conceptualize solo time as recharging time, because it's also the default of her existence, but it really kind of is. (Hanging out with Teresa doesn't count as socializing; that's purely comfortable. Hanging out with Raki, less so but still ditto. You may notice that Teresa and Clare spend a lot of time just being aware of each other's presence without actually interacting, though.)

Jess is getting better with crowds. I imagine earlier they used to give her the willies but spending lots of time with Carol and other heroes has mellowed her out. She's also not accused of being a skrull much any more so there's that.
Hank likes crowds if he is part of it. If the crowd is focused on him, no.
Brimstone does not do well with crowds, whether chimera or otherwise.
Andrea is good, though if the crowd is a mob she'll pass.
Mulan lived with an army so I think she's quite alright with crowds, though I can see an argument that she isn't used to them anymore given the state of the Enchanted Forest.
Quin likes crowds a lot. They make for easy camouflage.

Charles, it depends a lot on the crowd and how he's doing. He grew up spending lots of time in New York City and loved the energy of Oxford but to keep his sanity, he also needs space to himself. If he's a crowd that's feeling scared or highly negative, he will do what he can to protect himself by being quieter but when its a loud happy crowd, he almost absorbs it.
Ivan enjoys crowds, he's social and grew up in the midst of a vibrant social whirl as part of Vor society. His mother is the Emperor's social secretary, so he's been parts of all kinds of groups. He prefers ones where he can flirt and enjoy himself and not have to be anything in particular.
William's not great at crowds, because he's had some bad experiences of seeing the worst and painful parts of what happens when people gather together from waiting for the death and casualty notices during the war to school.
Sameth is another mix, because he's happiest when off in his workshop and he hates having to be prince in front of people. Yet he enjoyed being part of organized sports like cricket and rugby in school, I think for him it counts on context and if Nick's there to remind him to have fun.
Jane loves crowds, she adores watching people, dancing, talking and definitely feels happier for attending a fine party or dance.
Moist loves crowds and feeds off of them, he knows how to play a crowd, how to disappear into them, when he's around too few people he can get antsy.
Demeter, it depends on how she's feeling. People make her hopeful and feel brighter but she doesn't like the push of cities. Her perfect crowd would be the one at a farmer's market or a local gathering.
Tumnus is shy and doesn't enjoy crowds when they're focused on him, he likes when Narnia comes together and likes parts of court, but he's happiest helping everything go smoothly off to the side.
The Pirate King lives for crowds, one reason he loves being a captain, his own private crowd.
