Weekend Entertainment

Its almost 4 on the East Coast and no weekend entertainment up, I need to do something. So I have a mun question and a pup question.

For the muns, what's something that you wish more people knew about; book, movie, comic, game, anything you can think. Last night in some IMDBflu prep, I rewatched Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and was reminded how good of a movie it is though one I'd almost forgotten. I knew that I went to the theater to see it and liked it but somehow I hadn't recalled the strong characters, the gorgeous set up and how fun it is.

For your pups as today seems to be a cold and dreary day for a lot of people, what warm drink do your pups like to warm up with? Also open to mun answers, let's find some comfortable ways to curl up and hide from bad weather.

I remember wanting to see Sky Captain. Thank you for reminding me it exists! I can't think of any answer for this part as I've just come back from a rainy swim meet.

As to warm drinks, Jess likes cappuccinos, Hank likes hot cocoa but drinks coffee because it's more mature, Quin drinks kaf, Andrea is another coffee drinker but is open to tea (especially if Aunt B is serving), Mulaa likes a good soup or tea, I'm blanking on Brimstone and Anton drinks that stuff Tiger Cub's mun keeps mentioning whose name I forget. Myself, I vary. On a day like today, I'd love a nice cup of cocoa or a large mocha.

I loved, loved, loved Sky Captain. The pulp in-jokes that are peppered through the story are greatly entertaining, and the show itself is brilliantly done. I would love to see more. (And more John Carter, but Disney did a horrible botchup on the marketing of that one.)

As for something that I wish more folks knew about, I would direct you to Aaron Allston's contribution to the pulp milieu, Doc Sidhe, and its sequel, Sidhe-Devil. I really wish he'd write more of them, because a pulp fantasy story featuring a Daione Sidhe version of Doc Savage is wonderful fun. I've considered bringing in one of Doc's associates as a pup, but haven't really thought of how to progress with the character.

As for hot drinks, Mark's sort of a hot chocolate kind of guy. Blame his sweet tooth. Personally, I like either good hot chocolate or a nice cup of hot tea.
