DE: If you love it then you better put a patch on it

Clothing wear. I had to retire a favorite pair of socks today as I had worn the heal out. As a kid, I remember my father thinking I had razors in my knees as I even wore through Sears' tough skin jeans. What areas of clothes does your character typically wear through first?

Masks. Invincible gets punched in the face a lot. While he himself is, pretty much, invincible, the outfit is not. He ends up with shattered goggles after almost every fight that he has any difficulty with. Fortunately, Art the Tailor makes replacements.

He also goes through the rest of his uniform fairly regularly, which Art doesn't mind, since it allows him to try new designs from time to time.

I, the mun, am death to sneakers. They wear out and die quicker for me than for most people, I think.

Kreyu tends to destroy whole outfits in one go when she shapeshifts in a not 'magically treated to survive this' outfit.

Ibani spends a lot of time repairing her robes, because they get damaged in fights. Annabelle is in a similar situation.

Gloves. Dejah has burned through more sets of gloves, be it from martial arts training or climbing or picking things that you shouldn't use bare hands to pick up. It's silent headcanon to me that she always has a set of gloves tucked in her belt, even when she's in formal garb. Because you never know when an interesting specimen might come along. Or when you'll have to climb an ancient temple and then fight your way out again.

Amascut tends to wear free flowing stuff, so she doesn't really wear clothes out. But then again, goddess. Also, she doesn't do wear and tear. It's either destroyed or it's not. Some costumes of hers may look worn, but it it kind of like those jeans you can buy at certain stores that come from the factory already worn and torn.

I have a feeling that Fairy Fixit replaces her gloves most often. It's more of a comfort thing than an "oops, there are holes in these" thing.

Evil Chicken is a chicken, your argument is invalid. Also, feathers grow back.

For Tommy, I think socks and firefighting boots, as those boots go through a lot of wear and tear. I'm pretty sure that during the NYC budget cuts during the 1980s, Tommy had to make do with protective gear that was falling apart at the seams.

For me, sock and shoe heels. I have to restrain myself from buying cute and fancy socks because they'll only get holes worn in the heels after a couple of times being worn. (It might have to do with the calluses on my heels?) Also, because of the way I walk, apparently, all my shoe heels get worn down at an angle, and really quickly. Especially soft rubber soles like on Converse sneakers, and eventually even on my Doc Martens.

Boots and lower legs. Shephard tends to buy the most ironbound socks he can find, or get them from his mother, but he wears out his boots a lot and he's usually somewhere that his pants are in danger of catching on branches or other objects. He's reinforced his elbows and his knees in all his outfits, mostly with patches on the inside so they don't show, but you can't do much about undergrowth catching at your legs.

Most of what Mike, Raph, and Splinter had as clothing came second hand...if they were lucky. So I don't know that they've ever really...worn through clothing on their own.

Possibly boots?

Aang is a growing kid, so most of his clothing is outgrown before it wears out.

Bumi couldn't keep the knees on pants if he tried.

Cyborg has no clothes. Cyborg needs no clothes.

I suspect everyone else tends to wear out socks and underwear first, though Kirk used to be hell on shirtsleeves. And shirts.

Socks and shoes for me as I tend to wear a pair of shoes until they fall apart and I'm still holding onto socks that are pretty even though the heels are gone.

Hm, for mine, most of them would patch and patch a piece of clothing. William goes through shirts quickest because he keeps growing and he's tough on elbows.

Sameth is awful on shirts with all of his work.

Charles and Moist are careful about their clothing and tend to have a nicer standard than my others.

Ivan's tough on his uniform cuffs, I can imagine him tugging at any loose threads and tugging at them which makes them come apart in time.

I'm not sure about the others.

Carol has somewhat handwavey powers over her clothing? But if any clothing item of hers has issues, it's probably cause she tore it in a fight.

Stiles has a seemingless endless supply of graphic tees, plaid, and hoodies, but tends to wear the same few pairs of pants and ratty tennis shoes on rotation, so that's what wears out first.

Mary doesn't subject many of her clothes to much strenuous activity, so they tend to be replaced long before there's much wear. (Although Anna isn't technically a lady's maid, Mary still sometimes gives her old dresses to alter for herself.) The only things Mary owns that get noticeably worn are her riding boots and breeches.

Clementine: The obvious areas. She used to be an active kid, so it was a knees-and-elbows event back then.

Dixie: Trains, rears and sleeves. Her horny fans are a pain in the butt. And things get ripped if she's on en escapade with Brisco.

Juliet: Whole swaths of her grey suitcoats.

Pinkie: Doesn't wear clothing and is thus exempt.

Eponine: wears rags; most of her hems are gone.
