DE: Stick with me, kid
Your pup has somehow gotten the responsibility of mentoring a young person, however briefly. What bits of advice do they give them? This can be in bar or back home or where ever.

Kirk: Do what you love. If that means taking a posting that some would say is a dead end job, ignore them. And learn to follow orders without following them off a cliff.
Howard: Make the system work for you, and not the other way around. It's not as inflexible as you think. And the first chance you get, be your own boss.
Charlie: Question everything. Even other questions.
Gibbs: For the love of God, don't enlist in the navy!
Cy: Never stop learning. Never stop trying. Never, ever give up.

Anton: Stay away from the Boss. In fact, do your best to never gain his attention. Do not be afraid of technology. I've seen sorceresses waste ten minutes looking for something with spells that a google search would have found in ten seconds. Do not be afraid to buy your peers (or your mentor) little gifts.
Quinlan: Once you become a Jedi, think for yourself. Look to what the Force and the Jedi mean to you, not what Master Yoda and the Jedi Council have been telling you.
Andrea: Never take your attention off a vampire. No matter how competent the necromancer, it just takes one second of inattention and then you have a killing machine on your hands. Not every appeal of aid has to be done by the book.

No, really -- I tease, but he's big on education, and he's very big on equality as a fundamental principle. If the kid is from an upper-class background, they need to know that that doesn't make them better than anyone else, nor entitled to more, and that the people they might ignore in society are just as important. If the kid is from a lower-class background, they need to know that they're important too, and they have rights, and if no one around them respects those rights that doesn't mean they aren't entitled to them. And if the kid is from an egalitarian utopia, a) THAT'S AWESOME, and b) they need to know that that's something to protect and safeguard.
Thor has been in this position in-bar a few times already, in minor ways. There are a lot of people who look young to you when you're 1000-odd years old. It's kind of a cop-out to say that it depends on what advice the person needs, but it's true. Thor is big on honesty, integrity, self-confidence, and doing what needs to be done while remaining true to yourself and your comrades. So whatever advice he gives, it's aiming towards helping someone do that, and/or grow up into a person who continues to do that.
Trowa... it depends hugely on whether the kid is in a civilian situation or not. This is a line Trowa draws a lot in his mental categories, but especially for kids -- he wants to protect kids, he wants to keep them well out of dangerous situations, but if they're already there then what they need is honest advice, not an adult trying to close the barn door after the horse has gone. Whatever the advice is, it's probably very pragmatic. (And it might include something like "whatever choice you make, try to make it the one you'll regret the least later.")
River: something like "You're strong. Got friends. It's backup. You can do what you need to -- remember we'll help. It's a resource."
Regan, again, it depends a lot on what the kid needs. She tries to be pragmatic too, but she's not as ruthlessly clearsighted about what that entails as River and Trowa are.
Clare is terrible at advice, oh god. I'm honestly not sure.

Death is the oppressor we fight against, and as one, or none shall escape the blade.

And don't run out on your commitments. If you have to abandon something or someone, explain why, as best you can. Don't just leave. It doesn't end well.

Remember your friends and honor their memory even after they've gone.
When the situation requires it, be prepared to defend yourself by any means necessary. Do not hesitate in the defense of the things you hold dear.

[OOC: Mind you, that does get Mark in an awful lot of trouble along the way.]

And she'd offer to punch anyone who says otherwise. Helpful mentor is helpful.

Charles: You are important and add something new to the world and even if you think yourself odd or strange, you're not and someone else feels the same way. You're not alone.
Ivan: Be careful of politics and family members who are too smart for anyone's good, ambition will get you or members of your family killed.
Moist: Always have an escape route planned.
Jane: You will never get all that you desire but fight for what you love as much as you can and more than society expects you to.
William: Don't let anyone tell you that you're too young or too anything to do what needs doing.
Demeter: Live and love, it matters.
Tumnus: Spring will come and hold tight to those who see good in you.
The Pirate King: Live loudly and happily.

Eriond would patiently listen and probably only give advice based on situation. Along with maybe, "Evil is an illusion, and people are better than they think. Have faith they can be led to the right thing--just be ready to do the leading."
Lois would be awkward and probably give lots of contradictory advice at first. Eventually? "Don't settle. Ever. Especially not for the lowest expectations of you. It's okay not to know what you want to do with life. Don't think you absolutely need a ten-year plan. But when you find a goal, however nuts it is, go for it. And show 'em all up."
Tavi: Almost directly quoting book 6 for part of it. "Think risks through, but take them. Aggressive strategy's not always right--sometimes you have to play a waiting game--but whatever the outcome, choose it. Don't let anyone else make it for you. It will be hard. Sometimes you have to do whatever is necessary. Just remember: there is more than one kind of strength. Play to yours."

Merlin: Don't lie to people who trust you, even if you're afraid of the consequences.
Bilbo: Have adventures! Just don't go alone.
Sadie: Nothing is impossible if you have a strong enough martini.
Jack: Don't let other people decide who you are.
Cecil: Mountains aren't real!
Steve: Stand up to bullies, because once you start running, they won't let you stop.

Erik: Ask questions. Don't be afraid to admit you don't know the answers. Keep asking questions.
Alfred: Always know your limits.
Jack: Be who you are. Not who people think you should be.
Bean: The middle of the command chain decides the battle.

Dixie: Would say that brains will get you farther than beauty, but well - a LITTLE beauty helps...
Juliet: Would say that kindness will get you far, but hard work will get you even farther.
Pinkie: Canonically, she's taken care of the Cutie Mark Crusaders and the Cake kids on multiple occasions; her best advice to them is follow your own true wishes and SMILE!
Eponine: What kind of advice has she given Gav? Hmm.. She'd say that there's nothing more important in the world than love.
