DE: And we'll force everyone to live like this!
From

It is advised that you watch the video for the song Run Boy Run before or while answering this DE. It is a great video with some spiffy effects and costuming.
Inspired by having been to see Divergent in the cinema:
In Veronica Roth's Divergent trilogy, the residents of future Chicago are divided into five Factions: selfless Abnegation, compassionate Amity, ultra-honest Candor, brave Dauntless and intellectual Erudite. A test administered at the age of 16 determines one's dominant personality trait, and thus which Faction would be one's best career option (though the final decision is left to the individual). The titular Divergents are those who test high in more than one Faction's central trait; those who fail to choose, or who choose a Faction for which they then prove underqualified, are Factionless, on society's margins.
Which Faction would your pup be in? Or, more accurately, which Factions could your pup be in, if any, and is there one that'd be a better fit than others? What about you yourself?

Kreyu's more an Erudite, endlessly fascinated by humanity.
Ibani could fit Dauntless, as it takes courage to try and change the system from within, but she could also fit Amity because compassion is definitely part of the reasons why she believes the Empire needs to change. She's rather sneaky as well and likes knowledge, so there's a splash of Erudite in there too. The only ones that DON'T fit are Candor and Abnegation, because if she were painfully honest or selfless at home she'd be dead by now.

Amascut is Dauntless
Fairy Fixit is Erudite

Amascut would say she's all five, because (she thinks) what she does is out of mercy and wisdom and selflessness :D
Well, not candor, obviously. Honestly, she is a big time divergent (encounters with infantile Elder Gods will do that to you), but strongest in Dauntless. Ironically, Candor would probably have been her highest before going to Freneskae, being Judge of the Dead and all.

I could see Felix testing into Abnegation or Dauntless, and maybe Amity. Not really sure.
Fluttershy is indubitably Amity, though she might be able to cut it in Abnegation as well.
Kain is Dauntless. No other options for him.

Thor: probably Dauntless, although you could make a good case for Candor. Dauntless is what he'd pick of the two.
Enjolras: ...frankly you can make a good case for every single item on that list. If I had to pick one, I'd go with Dauntless, but he might be a Divergent here. I haven't read or seen canon, so I don't know what the repercussions of that are.
River: having this be at the age of 16 complicates things, because River as a kid is more Erudite and River later is more Amity (although, as ever, one can make a case for Dauntless.) I think Erudite is the one she would pick, though.
Regan: probably Erudite.
Trowa: ...oh gosh. Trowa is hard. Either Dauntless or Erudite, although you can make a case for Abnegation; I think I'd go with Dauntless in the end as the most fitting, but I'm not sure whether he'd pick that or Erudite.
Clare: Whoops, forgot her! Dauntless or Abnegation. I tentatively say she'd pick Abnegation, but it depends on how you square this system with the organization's stuff.

Both Bruces - Erudite.
Javert - hmm. Toss-up between Candor and Abnegation. He is certainly ultra-honest (has never lied), and his abnegation is outright stated. ...on reading the Wiki there, I'll go with Candor. Can't tell a single lie? CHECK. Thinks the truth is black and white? CHECK CHECK CHECK.
Jean Valjean - Amity, for sure. With a side order of Abnegation and Dauntless. (Though on reading the Wiki, Abnegation probably fits more perfectly.)
Robin - Dauntless.
Courfeyrac - I'll go with Dauntless over Erudite, simply because he's a student with seemingly little desire to actually graduate.

Carol is an adrenaline junkie, she'd totally be Dauntless.
Mary is probably Erudite. (Although, man, would the faction system be jarring for her, as a woman born into a social system where's she's believed to be superior simply by... being born.)
Stiles is the most likely of my bunch to test as Divergent. I could argue towards him picking either Dauntless or Erudite. It'd be smarter for him to pick Erudite, because physically Dauntless elimination would be hard for him to make it through, but let's face it this is the kid who goes looking for dead bodies in the woods at night for fun, he'd totally pick Dauntless and five minutes later be like "Oh shit, what've I done?"

Eriond would be in Abnegation or Amity; he is probably about equal in both but chooses the first because ~helping people~.
Lois I waffle a little between Candor and Dauntless; given her military background, I think her family might be Dauntless and it's where she was raised, so she knows her stuff, but she's Candor.
Tavi would send me into a tl;dr rant about his various traits if I tried. Secretly he has surprising doses of Amity and Abnegation (canon evidence, see 'tl;dr rant'), but for the obvious he's equally and powerfully given to both Dauntless and Erudite. Anyway, he has the brain of twisty Crazy Cheatium. He's Divergent, don't know what he'd pick until he could rewrite the system.
Because he totally would. Actually, probably all four of mine think the system is painfully flawed (Lois's terms are less polite) and are trying to change it.

Shulkie would be Divergent - a cross of Dauntless, Amity, Abnegation, and Erudite.
Siryn would be Candor or Dauntless.

Will is Dauntless pretty easily.
Charles is hard and I think would end up Divergent, which would suit him.
William would be Dauntless or Abnegation, he would pick Abnegation as that's what he wants to be.
Ivan is another tricky one as he's either Amity or Dauntless, at 16, he'd pick Dauntless but Amity suits him more.
Moist would go for Erudite though he's more Dauntless.
Jane would I think end up Divergent and wouldn't like the system, she's not a fan of boxes.
Sameth would be Erudite or Abnegation.
Demeter would be Amity or Abnegation.
Tumnus would be Amity.
The Pirate King would be Dauntless.

Sherral - I was torn between Dauntless and Erudite, and eventually went with Erudite. His decision to enter the Archadian military was a calculated one intended to achieve a goal, after all, and in a more equal society he could've ended up as one hell of a weapons researcher at Draklor Laboratory.
Wan is Abnegation. Even when he was a thief, he gave most of his food away to animals. Whatever other traits he has, a deep selflessness is pre-eminent among them.

David Detector - at 16 would have been more Erudite than Dauntless as he might have been at 20.
Olivier de Bretagne - Abnegation or Abnegation until his later teens and then he would be more Dauntless.
