DE: Good morning, good morning

What is your character's usual breakfast? Is it what they would prefer? If not, what is their favorite breakfast and why don't they get it?

Cy loves waffles. Well, he loves food, but waffles are his breakfast. Most days, though, he settles for a box of a cereal with more sugar than grain. An a gallon of OJ.

Knox isn't much for breakfast. He tends to have a bagel at home, a danish or donut at work. And coffee, of course.

Howard's personal chef makes him (and any overnight guests) a hearty ham and eggs breakfast on the weekends. The rest of the week, he settles for two slices of toast with butter, coffee and OJ.

Gibbs doesn't consider the first meal of the day to be different than the others. He takes what he can.

Kirk sticks with just coffee. He tends not to be hungry that early when on duty. At home, he makes a great omelet.

And Charlie is happy with a little yogurt and some herbal tea.

Carol must have her morning coffee. All other breakfast decisions are negotiable.

Teja: tea with coarse Roman bread, moretum, and cured meat (along the lines of Tyrolean speck)

Father Harman: tea and whatever there is in the cafeteria of his office building

Hannibal: not nearly as much people meat as you might think

Enjolras: bread, maybe an egg or some butter or something, usually coffee. He has breakfast every morning, but he doesn't particularly care what it is, as long as it fits within the parameters of food he's used to.

Thor: strikes me as the type to like variety more than the same thing every morning. Luckily, he's a prince in a space disco palace full of hearty eaters! I'm pretty sure there is an extremely respectable breakfast buffet out for all the warriors and courtiers, and he could also order something specific if he had a craving. He does both these things, but more the former.

River: uhhhh whatever the general crew breakfast is on Serenity. Rice and tea and some kind of thing to go on or with the rice, I suspect. Used to be reconstituted protein; is now... higher quality reconstituted protein sometimes! and stuff from Milliways other times.

Regan: tea and rice and something like eggs or whatever to the side, usually. Sometimes a pastry or two instead.

Clare: barely eats.

Trowa: coffee and... I dunno, probably toast or cereal or beans and rice or leftovers? He isn't picky. So it more depends on what Catherine's usual is, I guess. It probably usually contains some form of starch and some form of protein, and beyond that depends on what's easily available wherever the circus is that week. He likes fruit when he can get it, and has a certain fondness for beans and rice (with or without meat) and some kinds of pastries (danishes and things) that Cathy cannot remotely bake.

(Now I want breakfast food.)

Jay runs on coffee. It's a basic fact of his existence. Without coffee, Jay is a very unpleasant person to know in the morning. He recently discovered Black Blood of the Earth - cold vacuum extraction coffee concentrate. Makes getting his fix during a mission so, so much easier.

David, despite being German by decent and American by citizenship, likes a Japanese breakfast of miso soup, rice, cooked fish and pickled vegetables with green tea.

Olivier's use to living on soldier's diet. Breakfast is frumenty or pottage, served from massive pots over the cooking fires. It's usually the same pot that's been cooking for days with stuff added to it every now and then. What he's in the bar and can eat what he likes, he's very fond of couscous with dried apricots and dates.

Clem: Hair of the dog fifty perfect of the time. Otherwise, a fruit salad, oatmeal...and a ton of bacon.
Dixie: Grits and honey.
Juliet: Muffins, particularly muffin tops, toasted.
Pinkie: Chocolate-dipped cotton candy *wise nod*
Eponine: Anything she can get her hands on, but she's fond of buttered brioche.
