Today I'm at home, due to a state holiday, listening to Springsteen and watching Youtube. That got me thinking.

Your character has access to Youtube (or their world's equivalent). If they don't have it in-universe, someone showed it to them in-bar. (It somehow works. Works with me here.) What would they watch? Funny videos? Music videos? How-tos? Vlogs?

Jess would likely watch music videos for a while and then stumble upon some webseries like that Jane Austin redo (I am completely blanking on its name). Vblogs might hold her interest but not for long.

Hank would be all about the How-To and Science blogs. I think he'd enjoy the slow-mo guys too.

I am laughing at Brimstone watching funny cat videos. =D

Mulan would love Man-At-Arms.

And now 'Emma Approved' by the same people. It is actually pretty good (as in, I am liking it despite it being one of two contenders for least favorite Austen novel).

Nita: Cat videos.
Epimetheus: Cat videos.
Carmela: Cat videos.
Kim: Anything along the lines of "How Stuff Works" or Mythbusters or other informational vlogs. And haul videos.

Fairy Fixit and Amascut would both be into how-to's, but about different topics for the most part. Amascut would also probably watch illicit recordings of that Deadliest Warrior show, mostly for giggles. I don't know what would keep her from smashing the computer after her first cat video, though.

Bill Pardy hates YouTube. It is the single most stupidest distraction his deputies have when they have other shit to do. He doesn't like cat videos, not because he has a problem with cats, he just doesn't understand what's so entertaining about watching a cat ride around on a Rumba.

(For the record, his mun LOVES watching the cat in the shark costume ride the Rumba, but couldn't tell you why it's so amusing, IT JUST IS.)

Not that he doesn't get sucked in himself, though. Because there are just some things that are never not funny, like crotch shots and people falling on their ass. He also likes to watch crazy sports happenings, like amazing buzzer shots and crazy quarterback feats.

When not fighting monsters Hellboy lives on the TV and internet. He's not all that computer savvy, but he can find things to watch on YouTube, usually it's funny videos, paranormal hunter vids (which are hilarious), famous people bloopers, and of course, Cats.

Charlie Kenton doesn't spend much time in front of a computer, but if he did he'd be watching boxing; robot and the old school kind. He doesn't much like watching clips of himself, but other boxers, sure.

Logan. No.

Eric would become an expert in finding lesbian porn clips before they get pulled.
He might be already.

Elrond would enjoy educational videos.

Henry: Cartoons, movies, cat videos, maybe cool story adaptations.

Eriond: Definitely cute videos. Maybe educational ones? Dunno, he doesn't have much use for it, and would probably watch whatever the friend he's with is watching.

Lois: Daily Show, Colbert Report, SNL, any sports or shows she happens to like and missed (and didn't record) on the TV, any videos emailed around at work, given that it's DCU probably go hunting anything related to people she knows and laughing at everything they get wrong... what else. Oh, duh, monster trucks. Not the same as being there, but sometimes a girl needs a hit. Any and all Whitesnake and in general 80's rock videos. Get distracted and click links until she remembered to stop? I don't know. I can entirely believe she gets into email wars with Chloe, Oliver, or Clark of emailing videos with... some goal, I don't even know what, but it sounds like her. Some vlogs would interest her, but she's picky. Movies if complete ones can be found.

Tavi: Never let him see it. Um. Vi Hart's videos for sure, probably watch the new Neil deGrasse Tyson show, as many historical things as he can find, Mythbusters, science shows-- ...yeah he'd basically try to learn everything ever. The abundance of cat videos would confuse him. The idea of vlogs would fascinate him, though he'd be as picky as Lois about what he'd actually look at.

Clem: Makeup vlogs, Prince bootlegs, pro-pot support stuff.

Dixie: LOTS of music of every genre - a girl has to check out her competition.

Juliet: Dog videos, recipes videos, and workout mixes.

Pinkie: MUSIC ALL THE MUSIC. Also party planning livestreams.

Eponine: Deportment and conduct lessons; bootlegged books on tape.
