Daily Entertainment: Weather Edition!

I have nothing pythy to say this morning, Milliways. So I bring you:

Weather! What's the weather like where your character lives? Do they like it? What would they rather have?

There's no weather in space! OK, that isn't true, but Jim Kirk's life is not affected by the weather as much as most. Even on Earth, there is something referred to on Next Gen as a weather modification net. Somehow, the extremes of the present day are controlled for the most part without ruining the equilibrium of nature. (Whatever writer on Next Gen realized that full weather control was impossible gets my thanks.)

Gibbs stays in the Caribbean to get away from the snow and cold of Europe. The tropical rains don't bother him much. The tropical storms do, but as long as he's on dry land they don't seem so bad. It's so nice most of the time.

Howard loves the continual sunshine of LA. (I am not telling him about how it was 100 degrees in May there this week.) As long as there is no snow, even winter rains are fine.

We never saw much indication that it rains in Jump City on Teen Titans, so I assume it's got typical California weather as well. That suits Cy fine.

Knox hates Gotham weather. As is his god-given right. Gothamites love to complain about snowy, frigid winters, rain-soaked springs, short and windy falls with more rain, and oppressive summer humidity. He would rather be in Florida for the winter, but has no idea where summer would be better.

And Hub City, birthplace of CharlieQuestion, is about the same as Gotham. Denny O'Neil was big on atmospherics.

Mark lives in Riverside, Jewel of the Inland Empire. It's Southern California. He finds it pleasant enough, but relishes in the fact that he can fly damn near anywhere on the planet in a very short time (and some places off the planet).

Jess is living in New York now and will miss California the first time there's a big snow storm. She'll likely enjoy the first day, maybe the first week, but will get over it rather quickly.

Hank is living in Virginia if I am remembering where Division X is. He doesn't worry too much about the weather since he is indoors most days.

Quin lives in space. When he visits planets, he prefers ones that have a good number of land masses to those without; i.e. he doesn't like oceanic worlds.

Isabella/Lady Trent currently lives in an approximation of England. Weather isn't a concern, though. I don't remember the author mentioning anything about the weather while she is in Scirland aside from sunny days. Once she gets to traveling on expeditions however, weather becomes a big concern. ; p

Andrea lives in Atalanta, and hates the humidity. The heat doesn't bug her since she grew up in Texas but damn the humidity.

Anton lives in Moscow where weather complains about you.

Brimstone...I have no idea. Weather isn't a huge part of his story. Karou deals with it but he never seems to have to.

Mulan does not complain about the weather. It is simply something to accept. I don't know that the Enchanted FOrest is much different than the Empire anyway to be honest.

As most of mine get to see a lot of their relevant canon worlds, have this here related DE to start with...

Eriond: generally likes the world.

Henry: No opinions that I've determined yet, although I think colder than Maine winters would piss him off. (Ahahahahaha [spoilers].)

Lois: Dislikes extremes in weather as they are not necessarily comfortable--though heat is all right if she's lying on a beach and/or swimming.

Tavi: I think he dislikes excessively hot and humid summers, and may be rather glad to be living away from Thana Lilvia (AKA the psychotic storm system in Calderon). Probably the Vale is the nicest place to live, and Appia will be a little more dry and hot than would be ~ideal,~ and being flat-in-the-middle-of-the-continent may have some other weather issues, but hey, it's reasonable.

Amascut is a desert dweller and she's been in just about every desert clime, from seaside, river delta, high country, and low country. The high country gets chilly at night so there are temperature swings, but at least there is always sun during the day. She's in a love/hate relationship with the sun/her father. Currently she has been spending much of her time in Varrock though, which I figure is probably a lot like Germany weather-wise. She's not in love with it, but she can deal. She prefers the desert.

Fairy Fixit lives on the moon, your arguments are invalid. but the canon writers haven't been real clear about where on the moon or most likely in the moon that the fairies and their trees and giant mushrooms and various other friends/visitors live. One of Evil Chicken's nest caves may be up on the moon too. The entrance is on the moon, at least, but MAGIC. Most likely, the inhabited part of the moon is actually under the surface. Plenty of the fairies are weather control specialists, so either way, the climate is very controlled. The chaos in Zanaris comes out in other, much more absurd ways. Most notably feature of the weather in Zanaris? No wind. Fairy Fixit doesn't like wind.

Clementine: Reno! Land of extreme heat. She grew up there, she loves it.

Dixie: California! She's used to all sorts of temperatures, but California has a nice mix of it all. The cold doesn't bother her anyway.

Pinkie Pie:Juliet: is a Florida native, but has a secret fondness for cold weather.

Eponine:</b would love to be somewhere warmer for obvious reasons.
