Fine by me! Varric will be more than happy to discuss anything to do with his fiction habits (and might bring a couple of samples for the Bar to translate next time, if it seemed like a good idea).

And now I have an odd urge to have one of my other pups introduce your boy to comic books...

(By the way, it's totally just me making up backstory that he writes trashy whatever-the-hells. Hugo unhelpfully says that Bossuet "had no money, but found the way, when it seemed good, to spend madly." The only possible explanation for his income is pulp fiction.)

Makes enough sense to me! Varric canonically makes a good chunk of his living through writing- he mentions the Hard in Hightown stories, a couple of vaguely porny-sounding things, and at least one incident of thinking of switching to romances- but the game doesn't go into a whole lot of detail about it...

And come to think of it, if Bossuet is up for translating stuff and could do with his Milliways bills paid, one of my post-apocalyptic pups has some French-language books that could do with translation into English. Would that be the kind of thing that might be suitable for him?

I love it. I should really get to know more about Dragon Age. All kinds of cool people are into it, dammit! And Bossuet will encourage him towards romances. Good steady market for those and all you need to do is change the names and hair colors now and then.

Translation sounds good! I, uh, I doubt he's really all that great with English, but he probably has enough to muddle through with a dictionary. As far as he's concerned if Marius Pontmercy can be a translator, anyone can.
