I especially liked Eric's thread with Sunshine. Unmasking Hannibal in Milliways potentially begins right there.

I have always said that I'll 'out' Hannibal in Milliways at the same time canon outs him. So as that seems to be on the menu for this Friday's season finale, I am tentatively getting ready for it.

I loved that thread and it's made me want to go back and be sure to read the ones leading up to it to make sure I didn't miss anything.

The story with Eric and Sunshine is much older, but current animosities were sparked off when Eric came and gloated at Father Harman doing a penitential kitchen shift when he was new, and Sunshine was there.

Some weeks later, Sunshine saved Eric from the dawn -- which both my Hannibal and my Father Harman headvoice maintain was a bad idea, upon which Eric felt himself in debt to her.

So he turns up when Hannibal and Sunshine are cooking to make vague noises of discomfort and imply that she should do something so he doesn't feel indebted; Dr. Lecter finds that attitude quite rude and suggests flinging silver spoons at Eric.

And then Hannibal, being Hannibal, flung a silver spoon at Eric so skilfully, Eric never noticed it was intentional.

After that, Hannibal drew Sunshine and Eric as Judith and Holofernes, much to Rae's dismay; she is quite unhappy about the spoon-flinging as well, about which Hannibal is quite candid to her.

And that leads to the latest thread I had pimped, where Eric and Sunshine unexpectedly pool their knowledge, which Hannibal had never expected. So now, Sunshine (after the jarring note of the spoon-flinging and the drawing) is definitely wise to the fact that something is off with Hannibal, and Eric knows that he's been tricked by the human, and the silver spoon was intentional.

We will take it from there, once I know what the season finale is actually doing to Hannibal. Since the season started, I have been talking to a number of people about unmasking Hannibal, and once I give the go, these pre-arranged people can just start voicing their suspicions and talk to other people and see what adds up and what doesn't; things will continue naturally from there, just as they did in the affair with Eric and Sunshine so far. None of that was actually plotted out beforehand.-

(BTW, I do mean to get back to the Sam Wilson thread of ours. Another pup is being very loud and keeps drowning out noir-speak with Western but I aim to watch some film noir clips to get Sam's voice.)
