A Question

Those of you staying in the rooms above the bar, have you decided on room numbers? I know David has Room 6 and Spike has Room 8... anyone else?

Just curious more than anything.

I smell a room directory coming up one of these days.

No clue what number, but Arithon's is in a corner, slightly larger than a walk-in closet, and has only the smallest of windows.

In their first conversation, Hotaru was told by Paikea that Paikea's room number was ten thousand (something something) ^^. I wrote it down. For use, later.

Jenny is *somewhere.* Details not available, since she doesn't really care too much, so long as the bed is comfy and the hot water stays hot.

All of my others are in HoA.

Snow's old room was large enough to hold the dozen or so people who helped out with her birth, though I don't recall if a number was specified.

Val is the third door on the right in the staff quarters. The rest of my characters are unbound.

Jane's room is pale yellow with white curtains, comfortably-sized with its own bathroom. The number is somwhere in the three-hundreds, if I remember correctly.

Svava has a room up there- but I've never really figured out a number or details. hm...

Hmmm... a room number... since it's my favorite number, we'll just say that Blaise is in Room 19. *grins*

:(

(Hee.)

I guess Roland gets 99, then.

I'm sorry! Did I take the one you wanted?

*still won't give it up, though*

Not sure if you're familiar with the canon from which Roland comes -- he's the protagonist of Stephen King's The Dark Tower. Seven novels. And the number nineteen plays a rather...pivotal role, shall we say.

But 99 does, too, so it's all good. :D

*is... fairly sure she went with 217*

o _ O -- That was my homeroom number in junior high.

(Why that being Esme's room number creeps me out so much, I'm not quite sure. Does she look kinda like my English teacher? That's a random connection anyway)

[identity profile] granny-esme.livejournal.com 2004-12-02 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Well... if you ignore the half that's a rose... what do you think? o.O;;;

[identity profile] granny-esme.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Well okay then! :P

I kind of figured (for no real reason) that Mina had the third room on the left.

I never picked which stairway her room was the third one on the left from ...

Martouf is the same way - just has a random room - never been more specific than that since no one but him has ever been there; it would be simple and small, as he's not exactly having of funding - or not much anyway, plus - Tok'ra = sparse/spartan *shrug*

I never assigned Moiraine's room a number, but people have been able to find it, as follows:

* Will, Liz B., Peter P., and Ender all know the location due to the Dream Quest. Will has since shown Inigo where it is.
* Charlie found it by the means of running down the hall yelling until Moiraine opened the door.
* Rand located it through use of Power to track a token he'd given her.
* Dream and Desire have both found it. (Endless. *shrug*)
* Anthy found it as well. I have no idea how, but Anthy is Anthy. *grin* I think Anthy-mun suggested that a nameplate appeared for her.

Original room description is included here. There are a few more details present now that have been added since, described in posts since then here and there.

Raph had a room once, back in the day. I think he gave it to Hellboy...who I think is gone. No room number, but you'd be able to tell Raph was there by the number of knife marks on the back of the door.

I think Joe told Jake he was in room 4.

Mordred and Galahad are hence forth in room 13. Just, you know, because. Unless anyone else has taken it.

Sario's in House of Arch.

Delia's room is...green. No number as yet.

[identity profile] maydaybrat.livejournal.com 2004-12-01 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Or at least, seeing as they are one of the later people to arrive, Mordred and Ala's room ENDS in 13. Anything before that, eh. 313?

[identity profile] vampire-brat.livejournal.com 2004-12-01 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Lestat just stole David's room the other night, which was, I was told, 335. I'm sure he'll give it back soooner or later...

[identity profile] gil-whimple.livejournal.com 2004-12-04 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Gil's room is the first on the right off the staff corridor, no windows because it's backing directly onto the kitchen. He has cut a hole in the wall and installed a faunflap so he can get directly into the kitchen without having to step into the yard (going by pubdog's original map here). Since then, of course, the staff quarters have developed two or three other entrances directly from the bar and the kitchen and an upper floor - otherwise nobody can be thrown down the stairs.
