10 years bitches
Ladies (and gents). This weekend marks our 10 year anniversary as a game. And we shouldn't let that pass unnoticed. We need to do something group wise.
I was thinking we should party old school. Thread hopping. Putting all our actions in *stars*. Pretending like we have NO FUCKING CLUE what we are doing. Just like when we first started XD
But out that is just one suggestion. If you have something better, go ahead and suggest!
10 years of RP.
10 years of crack.
10 years of emergency potatoes and deep fried paradoxes.
10 years of fun.
10 years of friends.
ILU guys xxx

Watching squid telenovelas on tv.
Being pulled in by the demon karaoke machine.
Music from the jukebox that tries to compete.
Lake party!
Bring in all the hilarious cracky plots we can; body swapping, critter plot, gender swapping mints, IMDB flu, amnesia, whatever we can think of.
The fun version of the Allpocalypse.

Now pardon me while I wax eloquent...
We've outlasted almost every TV show on the air back then. We've moved from desktop computers and monitors to tablets with more computing power than the desktops, and better graphics than the monitors. We've graduated, or gotten new jobs, or moved, or fallen in love. Sometimes, we've faced pain and loss, but the game has been here to help distract, and the players have been here to help us cope.
10 years ago, this was just a game. A lark. Now? Well, it's still just a game. But it's also kind of like home to me. The threads at ridiculous hours with people in Australia, the crackchats about every possible topic - I know more about British and Irish politics now that I would otherwise, for example, the friendships that matter...I was surprised when I started making friends from the game, and now I can't imagine not having you in my life.
Wow.

Long may it last!

... I mean that. I was considering doing it this weekend anyway!

It's hard to believe.
For those of you who want to see a true "beginning of the game" mess of a thread, check out this one. This was done without AIM to coordinate - no one was really using AIM for group chat or planning. We communicated through ooc comments in tags and there were SO many deleted posts and thread fragments because we'd reply to tags and things happened so fast that you'd reply in the wrong place.
Just... SO MUCH CHAOS AND FUN.
I am in. Although I'll be on vacation... I'll make something happen.

And I have no idea what I'm doing as it is, so I will have NO PROBLEM with your suggestion!
I think I might bring in Ziggy Stardust for the occasion. He can present the bar with a dressing-up box for AUs. :DDDD
