DE: Boo

Suddenly, a wild boggart* appears. What does your pup see and how do they react?

*For those whom are click shy, a boggart is an amortal, shape-shifting, non-being that takes on the form of the viewer's worst fear.

There are three things in this world that Shephard fears, so unless the boggart is capable of taking the form of "you're flying!", it's either going to be a clown or one of the winged monkeys from the Wizard of Oz. Either way, there are going to be bullets in it within seconds. Possibly knives or an axe or maybe a pipe wrench. Depends on what his hand falls on first.

In which case he'd sit down on the floor, announce "I ain't fuckin' goin', you can't fuckin' make me," and proceed to pipe-wrench the legs of any aspect of the boggart that might try to get him to get up and get on board.

ETA: I remembered Hermione's failure fear involving Professor McGonagall telling her she'd failed. If the boggart turned into Alyx or someone else giving him an order to get in there and fly, I'm pretty sure he'd ask them "Are you fuckin' with me, ma'am/sir?", because that is about as much testing of his orders' limits as he can get away with should they turn out to be the real thing. Failure to answer to his satisfaction probably means pipe wrench time, because he really doesn't take being scared well.

Well, someone's going to have to clean up the mess that used to be a boggart who thought it'd be a good idea to take the shape of Omni-Man. Because Mark's going to hit it as hard as he can, as fast as he can, and he can hit pretty hard and pretty fast.

Hmm. Honestly, the Vord Queen is not Tavi's greatest fear; it's failure--particularly, at this point, failure to live up to his father's place and what his grandfather will one day leave him with.

If anyone can figure out how to represent 'failure to successfully protect an empire nigh single-handedly,' the boggart becomes that, and then Tavi thinks his way around it and then sets it on fire after.

Otherwise... eh, assume Vord Queen, and then the boggart has to try to live through attacks by Aleran steel and whatever other furycrafting tricks Tavi's got up his sleeve at the time.

Oswin: ... On a good day, she sees a Dalek, and she runs like hell. On a bad day, she sees the Predator, and goes on the offensive.

Katya: A disapproving Gesar. And after taking two seconds to realize that whatever's in front of her is not a Higher Other, Katya will make sure it doesn't bother anyone else. Permanently.

Balthazar: ... Morgana? And it'd depend - if he's on his own, he'll try to defeat her. If he's with someone else or in a populated area, he'll try to get everyone else out of the strike zone first.

William: ...... um. Um? Napoleon? IDEK. The answer's the same - he's a good shot with a pistol.

Simmons: Okay, so... pre-canon, probably Fury, really, I mean, guys, have you met Fury? Fury's scary. Post-canon as it stands.... Ward. Or Garret. Or both. Probably both. Or an isolation unit. One of those. As for what she'd do... probably panic. If she has a night-night pistol, shoot it. In the face. Err.

Glorfindel: .................................................. Errr.

....

....................................................................

Poor, poor boggart.

Back to work for me, so the rest will have to wait until later.

Jay - The Joker, without question. And it'd be the flip of a coin as to whether he'd go into a rage or freak out.

David Detector - The broken and battered body of the lover he lost in the war. He'd hold it together in public but in private he would be a completely mess.

Minx - Her mother drunk and ranting about how Minx ruined her life by being born.

Olivier - I really don't know....

(Unrelated! But did you want to do something with David and Emcee, post-Cubefall? He's got an EP up that you're welcome to tag.)

Javert - A superior telling him he has failed beyond redemption. Probably Valjean, at this point.

Valjean - Cosette dead

Gene - his real self

Bruce Banner - the Hulk

Bruce Wayne - a bat? I say this because off the top of my head, I can't think what a manifestation of his fear of fear would look like.
