Upcoming Mun Vacation

Hi-ho, Saph here.

I'm going to be heading out on a roadtrip this Saturday, heading to Colorado and New Mexico with my boyfriend, and won't be back until Sunday the following weekend. It's sure to be great fun, but we're going to be out and about most of the time and I'm not sure what my wifi capabilities will be like during the evenings, so I will likely not be around much. I didn't want y'all to worry. ^_^

So don't burn down the bar while I'm gone, okay? Or, if you do, someone at least compile all the relevant links so I can catch up when I get back. <3

If you were hoping to experience our hellish beautiful clear blue skies it looks like our rainy season is sticking around for another weekend. I was kidnapped for an impromptu vacation to Northern New Mexico/Southern Colorado this past weekend and it was nice, but then again that is because I like clouds and rain and dislike our local angry vengeful sun-god.

The good thing about clouds that even sun worshipers can agree with me on is that clouds make our sunsets and sunrises so much prettier. Make sure to catch at least one sunrise or sunset. They happen at 6 am and 8 pm around this time of year, though you may have to adjust that if there is a mountain in the way or something. You won't regret it.

The other good thing about the rain that has been falling all July is that is has greatly reduced the chance of anyone dying in a fire, so yay!

Yay no one dying in a fire! And the temperatures look lovely, from what I've seen of the forecasts. Clouds always make sunsets better (not much chance of catching a sunrise, not this night-owl). We're hoping to catch a sunset view of Shiprock while we're in NM. Hopefully at least one night will be clear so we can see the stars. ^_^
