We now have two reported instances of Milliways players' RL LJs, and one character journal, being hacked into and deleted.

I really, really hope this is a coincidence, and has nothing to do with their connections to the game.

HOWEVER. Please be on the lookout. Watch your journal(s), and it might behoove all of you to change your passwords on a semi-regular basis.

If any of you have any clue as to who/what is behind this, please let one of the mods know ASAP. This is not cool, people, and I am vastly displeased.

ETA: Okay, have solved case number two, and it was thankfully not related to Milliways. (Still sucky, though, as it was not a server error.) However, still keep a lookout, as we have mystery deletions on our hands, yet.

I don't know that it's just Milliways folk. It seems to have happened to another friend of mine who has no connection here. Wonder if it's a massive server glitch. I know they've been having issues with servers recently.....

Oh, that's good to hear. I mean not, obviously, as it bites for your friend, but I'm going to be really upset if it turns out to be malicious. Here's hoping it is a massive server glitch.

just so you know. This account and my gmail account were also hacked into. I wasnt able to log into this account for the past several days. It was hacked the same day as Todd-muns. Seems I got off lucky and my password was restored. I have changed the password and email accounts.
