DE: How predictable

 I am sick today. =(

But that means I am home instead of driving on the freeway! =D

Anyway, onto today's topic, what is your character's fatal flaw? This idea comes from the Percy Jackson series and Greek Mythology, as well as other sources I am sure. The flaw isn't necessarily a character flaw, it can be a good thing. The basic idea is some trait of the hero that can be the cause of their doom. Think of it as the one thing a mastermind would use to manipulate your character.

Artemis loves her sister.
Yes still. Might not like her very much, but she loves.

The Master of Ceremonies doesn't want to acknowledge that the threat outside the Kit Kat Klub's doors is rapidly encroaching. He's fully aware of it, but he's so determined/desperate to keep the party going that not only is he endangering himself, but also the people who are drawn to him, drawn to the temptations within the Klub. They get sucked into his ideal of a trouble-free escape from real life that nobody realizes that it's too late for all of them.

I think this is partly why he and Moist understand each other so well, they're both always looking for that way out whether its an actual place or something else.

Eric has an awful temper and he really knows how to hold a grudge.
His desire for revenge has quite often endangered both himself and those he cares about.

He also has a tendency to, how to put it, not think with his big head?
Also problematic.

It's a good thing he doesn't get emotionally entangled with humans because that would really eff up his life.

Amascut has a few. Her fear of cats is an obvious one, but yeah, beyond that she is a big ball of crazy and trauma. Also, she tends toward overly elaborate plans. Sometimes she does something simple to scratch an itch, but, overly elaborate plans are a thing.

She's a Saturday morning cartoon villain, isn't she?

Fairy Fixit talks too much. Somehow she keeps secrets well anyways but she does a lot of inadvertent infodumping. Her true neutral alignment may be a flaw as well.

Mia and Lucas both have a strong sense of duty to the world. Both of them didn't choose these duties but were born into them, and both grow up coming to terms with this in their respective canons. They will put themselves in dangerous situations if it betters the world.

And on the other side, Lohengrin and Mirai both have huge guilt complexes and passive/active suicidal tendencies for being the causes of their loved ones' deaths. They both have very strong ideas of themselves, namely that Lohengrin must act with justice and that Mirai is inherently unpleasant. They will put themselves in self-sacrificing situations because they believe this is what they deserve.

Will's is his loyalty to Robin and Nottingham and his temper.

Charles' is his compassion and how it at times makes him isolated while also bringing him closer to people. Its complicated and I really appreciated how Days of Future Past showed that how much he gives to others exacts a price on him. Its a true double-edged sword.

Quentin's is I think his loyalty but that's complicated as he holds loyalty to many people.

Moist's is his confidence and his wish for an escape.

Ivan's is his desire to be safe.

William's is his protectiveness of his family.

Jane's is her writing, it frees her and holds her back.

Demeter's is her love of her daughter.

Sameth's is confusing as I think it changed throughout canon where it was used against him was his sense of not being good enough, not fitting. I don't know for certain what it is now.

Tumnus' is another I'm not completely sure of either his love of Narnia or his desire to be safe.

Autor's fatal flaw in canon is his smug belief that he's special. In Milliways, it's more his curiosity.

Tahno's is his arrogance.

I'm not sure what Alana's is. Possibly her willingness to help.

Over-confidence, I suppose. You could maybe term it hubris - that would be delightfully classical.

Clementine: Her tendency to half-ass things, followed by her self-centeredness.

Dixie: Her heart of gold

Pinkie: Her slight flightiness.

Juliet: Her temper.

Eponine: Her slight instability and her desperate loneliness.
