IC Secret Santa Rules!
I'm currently in the process of giving out assignments. If you have not yet heard from me, rest assured that you will soon. Check the email address you've listed on the contact list. Rules for the exchange are as follows:
1. If you signed up, please please please give a gift. You have three weeks to do it; it's not that hard, people.
2. Only use IC knowledge. If your character does not know the person they are giving a gift to - even if another of your characters is their son/best friend/lover/evil twin - then your character needs to collect info on them. Talk to people, try to meet them, set up a complicated tracking system, I don't care - just keep this IC. This also means that you don't go around telling everybody who you're giving a gift to, IC or (preferably) OOC.
ETA: 2.5. By extension - if your character is signed up, bring them into the bar over the next few weeks, so that the person giving your gift can collect information on you.
3. Two weeks before Christmas, I'll put up a post in the back room, then link to it every two or three days so people can keep track of it. When you've decided on the gifts your characters are giving, post anonymous responses to that post, one per gift, saying how the recipient finds their gift and what it is. Put the name of the recipient in the subject of your reply. Keep track of the post for the gift your character receives - and have them find it.
4. Above all, have fun! This is supposed to be light-hearted and silly and enjoyable and un-angsty.

Of everyone and anyone I ask for suggestions or thoughts on getting around this, when it comes to getting a gift(s) for someone.
Can't exactly go to the mall, or order from a catalogue, after all.
(though, my character couldn't do that anyway... no money).
