I know this is probably a limited set of characters who might be affected, but-

I just got this month's issue of Flight Training, the student pilot magazine put out by AOPA (more or less the aviation equivalent of AAA). It has the 2015 college aviation directory. If you have a character with flight skills in his or her background, and some level of college education, and they're from Earth and could reasonably have gone to school in the United States, the directory lists accredited schools that give out associate degrees, bachelor degrees, and master's degrees in fields related to aviation, as well as which specific areas they offer and whether or not the school accepts veteran's benefits. So if you need that kind of thing in a character's background, let me know!

I don't, but that's pretty cool, and thanks for the option!

I don't know if it would fit for his backstory, Sam may have picked up all his flight related skills in the Air Force, but I would be interested in see this.

http://flighttraining.aopa.org/learntofly/school/aviation_colleges/ is the online version, I think. You should be good to access that page without a login.

I should note that that's just colleges, not flight academies like the people teaching me to fly.

Sariel in my head is all smiley. Not American and from the wrong era, but it's making her smile anyway.
