Another idea, food and cooking, what are pups favorites and what do they like making?
Or same question but about drinking in terms of alcoholic, non-alcoholic, do they have ones they make, ones that bring back memories?
Also, for the newcomers and a reminder for everyone else, the daily entertainment suggestion box is always open. Just leave a comment and we'll give you credit when we use yours.

Shephard can make a couple of field dishes respectably but is not much good in the kitchen otherwise, although he can fry bacon pretty well. As far as favorites go I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure he'd say anything his momma makes.
Ellen is awful at cooking anything that doesn't come with a very strict set of two hundred year old instructions. Her idea of cooking is killing a Wasteland predator and roasting meat over a fire and hoping she doesn't char it too much. Her favorite food is noodles and Cram, which is basically Spam with slightly less salty ramen, and she does not understand why people look at her funny about it. In general she only likes bland-tasting food, as the Vault ran out of spices and seasonings long ago and the basic flavorings they had left were things like artificial vanilla. Anything with a very strong or complex flavor doesn't work for her.
Not sure about the others. Pretty sure Stacker can cook improvisationally very well, at least in part because he's had to learn to make do with what's available in rationed areas and because he's had to manage his terminal disease without anyone noticing. Medic probably likes something complicated to cook but morally awful, like particularly squishy veal. The only comment Edward Kenway makes about food in his canon is that he wants 'food that don't make me sick'. Couldn't tell you about Santo or Varric.

Eriond doesn't really have to cook. If he wanted to know he could, but Polgara always cooked (because Eddings). Don't believe he particularly has preferences.
Lois avoids cooking. Ever. Do not let Lois cook, you will die of poisoning. She made a rum cake once... She loves Martha Kent's cooking, though. She is also very fond of a good burger. Preference in alcohol varies, she's fairly flexible. If she's just looking to get smashed, tequila shots.
Tavi does not know how to cook. As far as preferences go, that will shortly shift to "I don't care as long as it isn't the bloody croach, why did I do this to myself." Thanks to Milliways, his favorite alcoholic beverage of choice is Olau red wine, because Alanna got to him.
...I sense a pattern here with the cooking thing...

Gredya thinks cooking is weird and silly and possibly wrong but she's getting a solid start on the principles of marinades and is privately quite pleased with her skills at cutting vegetables.

And, you know, how meat just tastes better cooked. Unless it doesn't to her.

Athelstan prefers simple food and drink, because it's what he knows best. He may have been at the court of Charlemagne and probably had luxury food there, but give him a bowl of stew and some bread and he's happy.
I'm not sure about any of the others. Except Ichabod and his Barbadian Best Amber.

Enjolras can barely boil an egg. He's never really had to. He can... make coffee? Uh. He could learn how to cook, if he had cause to learn and someone to teach him, but he'd probably still mostly live on sandwiches or whatever.
Clare has no idea how to cook. If she had to, she'd make a fire and put something on a spit and... hope for the best.
More later!

Cosette probably knows some basics, although I doubt she does much in the way of cooking herself. (I should look more into what actual expectations of the time period were for someone of her social class in an urban setting. I think it's along the lines of "the housekeeper or cook will do most of it, but you should know something about what that job entails," but I don't actually know.) It's not a particular interest of hers, though she doesn't dislike it.
River, uh... can, but hallucinations and distractability and kitchens do not mix all that well, so she tends to do simple things or cook with a crewmate for teamwork. Nothing fancy.
Regan, like Cosette, mostly has other people doing it. She'll make herself tea or a snack or a sandwich sometimes, and she kind of likes cooking, but she's too busy to take care of it a lot of the time.
Trowa! Trowa can cook. Nothing fancy, but he's decent at it, whether we're talking a meal for himself or following a recipe or cooking for a group. More often he lets his sister Catherine do it, though, not because of gender roles but because it's a hobby she REALLY ENTHUSIASTICALLY LOVES. If not for that, he might've made a hobby of learning to cook, I think, but as it is he has other hobbies instead, because Catherine cares about it a lot more.

Oswin/Clara: They make souffles. It's all tied up in convoluted coping mechanisms, but... yes. That whole pack is on the hunt for the perfect souffle.
Glorfindel: Really isn't much of a cook - he can do decent camp food, which he learned more out of necessity than any other real interest. When at home, he lets those that actually like to do such things do them best.
Bones: Cannot cook worth a damn. The only exception to this is he knows how to make his daddy's recipe for beans. The recipe goes - put beans and water into pot over fire, add whiskey liberally to pot and down one's own gullet until everything is appropriately mellowed, and eat.
Jemma: Really isn't much of a cook, but she can make a really good sandwich. She also, evidently, likes sriracha. *eyes this new season with great wtfery*
Katya: Can make sbiten, and... um. ... She can open a bottle of vodka like a pro. Look, this is what late-night Chinese food runs are for.
William: Cannot cook at all, he is utterly useless at it, and was even before he lost an arm. He is also just a bitty midshipman, so he has time to learn... not much inclination though.
Balthazar: Also cannot cook worth a damn. He can make tea. It is good tea. This is good enough, yes?

Joly can make toast. And eggs. And more toast. It's usually enough to get him out the door to someone who can make something better than toast. But he's really good with all sorts of drink mixing, since it's basically pharmacology. A few decades too early to be putting the Coca in Cola, but the principle's the same!

Will actually can cook, but you're unlikely to see it, as his very valuable but not very flashy talent is in producing varying and decent meals out of the same five or so ingredients over and over. Unsurprisingly, a central and preferred ingredient for him has always been fish, as it was one of the few things they could consistently get fresh. But other than that it could be a lot of cans and boxes, and he was very good at using those creatively. Once he started living alone, and had more means, he'd buy more fresh or frozen fruit and vegetables, but he also put less effort into what he produced for himself, because as much as he'd be loathe to admit it, like everyone else he's going to perform when someone else is around.
Elle can follow a recipe and things won't burn unless she deliberately sets them on fire. She learned this because she got bored while stuck in her home facility and certain people sometimes forgot to lock kitchen. Grilled cheese for everyone!

Merlin can cook and frequently prepares Arthur's meals when Arthur eats alone.
Cecil is a decent cook, and he and Carlos often cook and eat together. He misses toast.
Groot eats plants. Cooking really isn't part of his world.
Jack Benjamin has eaten everything from field rations to state dinners. He can cook simple meals--his father made sure his children could ate least make various kinds of eggs.
Steve loves food, and trying new kinds of food. He filled a lot of hours between superheroing by watching the food channel, and so tries out recipes that he sees on the shows.
Sadie rarely eats anything that doesn't come in a martini glass.

Selina eats what she can steal. Cooking doesn't really come into it.
Jess loves food but she is much more of a take-out or other people cook kind of gal. Worth noting, she LOVES when Thor is manning the BBQ grill.
Tybalt does amazing things with open fires but would fail completely when confronted with such modern things as stoves.
Quin, I actually have no idea.
Bonus:
Trip is an amazing cook, focused mainly on French cuisine. I sort of have a head canon that his father spent some time in France after the war with Frenchie learning how to cook and passed the skills down.
Luidaeg is another amazing cook but she does not advertise this. She cooks for one person and one person only. Herself.
