Selina sat across the street in the shadows of the alley as Jack screamed at the cops and EMTs. He had been sick, very sick, and needed the medical help, even if he wouldn't admit it. Still she couldn't help the twisting in her gut at betraying her friend.

"Wilson, are you okay? Should he send Thor up to get you?" Stark called over the comm.

Sam just laughed in reply, he couldn't help it. His new wings were awesome!

Quentin's never kept too much in his pockets, he hasn't had them for most of his life. Pouches sometimes and he knows his way around knowes, its always simpler to tuck something away for later than risk having it on you at a bad moment.

The important parts of him are always there in his blood and in his bearing.

"Professor, its time?" Jean's voice came through the door as she smiled and thought, Don't you want to speak?

No, its your turn now. I've had my moments. When she came closer, he squeezed her hand and moved his chair to follow her.

I don't know if I feel ready, its all happened sooner than I thought it would. As they entered the hall, Scott came to walk beside them, hugging Jean and Charles could feel how his love and trust buoyed her up.

I know, but this is the right time.
