Characters I sometimes think "maybe I should app..." (if that's the question?):
- a golem (probably Pratchett-verse, but possibly Fallen London or something else) (i have feelings about golems) - the god Djehuty/Thoth (I miss playing Dejhuty and nerding out about Ancient Egypt, though of course here it would be a complete restart from the way the character went in earlier RP) - one of the poor unlucky bastards from the Federation prospecting ship in How Much for Just the Planet? - the Noted Orchid Grower from Fallen London - Stephen Maturin - oh god i'm always thinking that would be fun to RP!
I would love, love to see anyone else from Gredya's canon.
I used to play Ma'at here, but I never did anything with her any more that I couldn't do with Margolotta, so in the end, I ditched my goddesses (her and the Celtic goddess Sirona).
- Abigail Hobbs from 'Hannibal' - the Bishop of Digne - Angie from 'Ultraviolet' - Abby from 'Sleepy Hollow' - anybody whatsoever from 'A Struggle For Rome' - anybody from 'Chicago Fire' for which I have a secret weakness - ditto, from 'Major Crimes' - John Constantine (TV and/or comics canon, definitely not Keanu verse) - Norman Bates (would love the TV version, but utterly ADORE the original movie version for reasons; the poor mun would get a basket full of potential plot thrown at them right away)
Continue to be tempted by:
- Ragnar Lothbrok (reason why not: Oh no, not another medieval guy!)
I've played around with an Abigail in sandboxy spaces, but aside from not having time and not apping anyone now, my brain definitely couldn't handle more than the occasional thread with her.
I've always thought it might be fun to play Mary Russell if she weren't, you know, an Oxford-educated theologian and the subject weren't bound to come up with her every five minutes in Milliways...
- Floki from "Vikings" because he's just delightfully off-kilter - Jessica Hamby from "True Blood" because she's the most adorable vampire ever (I did make a journal for her and popped her into a Test Drive once, though I'd love to bounce her off Father Harman because she's such a sympathetic character) - Frank Irving from "Sleepy Hollow" - Edwin Jarvis from "Agent Carter" - Oswald Cobblepot from "Gotham," omg
- Ciaphas Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM!!! - Roger Maxson of the Fallout universe; he's the founder of the Brotherhood of Steel - A non-modernized, non-assimilated, non-Western deity - Number Ten Ox (I played him once but first person narration is hard to keep up) - Constable Kiseki Fuse - Tek or Halla from the Firebringer novels
I'll also give the Egyptian god Bes half a point here. I don't actually have any real urge to play him, but I kind of want to see a god running around who basically looks like a North African version of Peter Dinklage, and who has Bes' sense of humor.
I don't have too many possible headvoices but a few are on the edges tempting me sometimes.
-Barry Allen from the new Flash TV show -Gansey or Blue from The Raven Cycle -Han or Raisa from Seven Realms -Kit Cloudkicker from TaleSpin but animated characters are hard to do -Newt from Good Omens
I've sandboxed Ramiel of Judeo-Christian mythology before, and been sorely tempted to app him. Stuff has always stopped me thus far.
Some characters I'd reeeaally like to see in bar:
- Either of the Mills sisters, Sleepy Hollow. - Oliver Queen, Thea Queen, John Diggle, Roy Harper, Moira Queen, Dinah Lance, just - just anyone from Arrow. - Literally anyone from Final Fantasy XIII. - Anyone from the Dustlands trilogy. They'd be hella difficult to play, but amazing. - Fire, from the Graceling Realm books. - Any Pokemon protagonist. Every Pokemon protagonist. - Harrison Wells.
I always always always want to play Tyler Durden from Fight Club, and even recently had a bit of a breakthrough on how to play him. But it's still dodgy, and I don't think the payoff would be worth the hassle it would take to work it out.
There's a few pups I really want to try out but am rather terrified of:
Daniel Pierce from 'Perception' = quirky sarcastic brilliant glory but dear lord the difficulty of getting his schizophrenia right. Also wtf TNT, don't cancel one of my favorite shows. *sulks* At least they're going to fix the cliffhanger mess they ended last season with.
Ali Hazar from the Mary Russell series - he's one of my favorites, but that's two intricate cultures to get right, and he would not be a happy bunny to be in-bar without his brother/cousin.
Jane Timony from 'Prime Suspect' - though it'd be the US version, as (sorry BBC) I fell for her first. And her hat, love her hat.
In the "characters I've considered playing" column: - Daine Sarrasri (Tamora Pierce) - Thursday Next, Jenny Next (Thursday Next) [I still think Jenny would be hilarious, since within her own world she only exists in the false memories of her family members.] - Toby Daye (Seanan McGuire)
In the "would that be fun/hilarious if I could interact with this character" column: - Josef from Moonlight because... Moonlight - Kamala Khan!!! (Marvel) [SKADOOSH!] - Phryne Fisher, both because she's awesome and because Mary needs to meet her - Kate Bishop (Marvel) - Anyone from Legend of the Seeker - Rosa or Amy from Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Daja Kisubo, Frostpine, either of the Bancanor sisters, Hamit of the Camelguts or Briar Moss from Tamora Pierce's Circle of Magic series
the Whistler, from the radio series of the same name (though how he'd be playable is beyond me, given his status as near-omniscient narrator with a line on people's thoughts and emotions)
not at all related to the above, Wind Whistler or North Star from the 1980's MLP

ETAA: And I keep banding about the idea of the Baba Yaga from time to time.

I also sort of have a Floki in my head but I'm not sure if he's an actual voice or just an enjoyment of the character.
