DE: Memeship is magic

If you character were to suddenly become a Little Pony, what would their cutie mark be? Or if they were to suddenly find themselves in that would, what species would they be; a pony, creature, or non-pony?

Alternately, and in case this inspires silliness, make a Little Pony version of your pup! Link leads to a flash based doll maker type game.

Actually, bat-winged ponies are a thing in canon. Princess Luna's chariot is pulled by them. Alicorns, on the other hand, are pretty damn rare, and shown to have godlike powers.

While there's some debate over whether Gordon should be a unicorn or an earth pony, pretty much every MLP rendition of Gordon Freeman has the same cutie mark.

Most candidate marks for Shephard would make him look like the pony equivalent of a serial killer, since hunting, shooting, etc. are not really seen as good things in a culture where everything except the fish possesses something in the way of sapience. The best he could hope for would be *!^@$, or something similar, and as a special talent this would translate to the ability to break things by shouting incomprehensible words at them. Earth pony.

Pretty sure Edward Kenway's would be the traditional skull and crossbones, because let's face it, he's good at being a pirate. Given his ridiculous agility and the ability to jump from the top spire of the tallest building in 1715 Cuba and land in a haystack without batting an eye I'm figuring he'd wind up pegasus.

Varric's... probably a quill and parchment, actually. For all that he's got that crossbow of his, he's honestly famous for his writing to a ridiculous degree (if you bring him along in the party in game 3 often enough, you find out that half the Orlesian nobility, an incredibly ancient elf, and the Dragon Age equivalent of the Pope have all read his work- and the not-Pope wanted his autograph on her copy). Earth pony, beyond a doubt.

Ellen... I honestly don't know about the mark, since the Vault-Tec logo doesn't apply and the Brotherhood emblem's a little overcomplicated for a plastic pony rump. Also, yes, I am aware of the fanfic Fallout Equestria and I'm not touching it with a ten meter cattle prod.

Santo's mark is the silver mask, and I am trying to decide if pony luchadores wear masks over their faces as well as over their rumps, because I'm quite certain they wear masks over their marks. Probably earth pony. Possibly (but not likely) unicorn.

Stacker Pentecost's would be some abstract mark strongly reminiscent of destruction, with a big red NO barred circle across it. Probably earth pony. Could be wrong.

I had no idea that one existed. Do we see anything about him in the show, or is he a five-second joke?

He's one of a group of henchponies sent to rough up someone. No characterization beyond that.

Gotcha. In that case Shephard's cutie mark will have maybe one more gribble, to distinguish the two of them and their special talents.

Ysalwen would have a gryphon cutie mark -- the Warden-Commander version -- or would BE a griffon. I am not sure. She'd be a unicorn if she was a pony, though.

Raven would have a black feather. Alicorn, probably.

Dean would have the Impala, duh. Earth pony, hands down.

Wonder Woman would probably have a golden lasso. Pegasus pony.

Nynaeve would have a healing herb, but I cannot remember which one I want right now. Unicorn.

Michael would have a blazing sword. Pegasus pony.

X-23 would have scratched-in claw marks -- two, to mimic her claws. Earth pony.

Galadan -- red wolf eyes. Or he would just BE a wolf. If he was a pony he'd be a unicorn, though.

Diana doesn't qualify for alicorn status? I mean, there's literal godhood involved in her family, right? I could see arguments either way.

She had it once and gave it up because Greek alicorns aren't allowed to interfere on Earth.

See: comics.

I knew that. I'm just not well-versed in the details of Diana's history. Still, giving up alicorn is just about the level of eternal badass she ought to have. Yay Diana.

Vanellope would be a blank flank since she's permanently prepubescent. Definitely a pegasus, though.

Alyx is an earth pony, and her cutie mark is a wrench and a soldering iron.

The rest of my pups are pretty solidly in the "Not Applicable" category.

For Amascut, this alicorn still applies. So, chestnut brown alicorn mare, red mane and tail, and with a cutie mark that depicts a ear of wheat and a sickle. Which might get her confused with a deity like Ceres, but I though it would be most appropriate to reflect her past as a goddess of rebirth and her current destructiveness.

Fairy Fixit if she were a pony, would have a combination crescent and socket wrench like the one in her icon and likely be a blond maned unicorn. I am not sure of her coat. But, most likely, I think she would be a Breezie which are the cutest things ever omg.

I made a Fairy Fixit pony for the hell of it sans cutie mark

Hmm, canon hasn't given the fairies a stand-in language, but I suppose they are vaguely celtic. Finnish will stand in for the language of the followers of the world destroying boar, I think.

Thor would, of course, be an alicorn (look, he's royalty who's been worshipped as a god) with a cutie mark that's Mjölnir crossed with a lightning bolt, or something similar. Either that, or he carries Mjölnir and has a stormcloud with lightning bolt for a cutie mark.

Enjolras would be a golden pegasus with a tricolor cockade for a cutie mark.

Cosette would have a design of flying songbirds, I think. I can't decide what kind of pony she'd be, though. Maybe an Earth pony, maybe a pegasus.

Trowa would be a pegasus. His cutie mark didn't appear till well into canon -- not sure if it was during his amnesia period or after the war ended -- but it's his clown half-mask.

Clare would be... well, a unicorn if she was a pony, but really she shouldn't be a pony. A changeling? A creepy unicorn-changeling hybrid? I don't know if that last is even canonically possible, but it's probably the closest to what she'd really be. Her cutie mark would probably be her symbol, I guess -- that's her identifying mark in the organization. I'm not sure how tho visually represent anything more personal to her.

River would be a unicorn with a cutie mark of... wow. I have no idea, or rather I have too many ideas and I'm not sure which ought to win out.

Let's go with an albatross in flight, crossed with a flowering branch that's suspiciously gun-shaped in outline if you look closely.

Bahorel would be an Earth pony. Very loudly an Earth pony. Red and black, of course, with an egg cutie mark. (Like, in the shell. Though possibly with a crack.)

Joly would be a unicorn, in light brown and black, with an old-school magnetic compass for a mark.

Someone already made an Autor pony, so I'll just stick with that. A book cutie mark fits well.

I'd give him antlers, which are the RL brand of some famous horse breed here in Germany that used to be based in East Prussia, which is now Russia -- so that would fit doubly as Hannibal's 'cutie mark'. But I guess they didn't have antlers/the Trakehner brand, either.

I know Sariel is a pegasus pony, though I'm debating her colors. Probably curly black mane and tail, but I'm not sure about her coat and feathers. Lavender, leaf green and canary yellow are all possibilities, I'm just not sure how to combine them. Maybe a lavender coat with primarily leaf green wings with brilliant canary yellow here and there nearer her wing edges. Her cutie mark is tricky. I'm imagining a silver feather with a golden star in contact near the non-shaft end of it. The Starfleet delta seems too obvious for some reason.

I'm liking this idea more and more, now I read it over. :)

I made a few of my pups a year or so ago.

Yrael's cutie mark would likely be a cat's eye in green, or something abstract and vaguely threatening...
 photo yraelpony_zps5cefd924.jpg

Sunshine's cutie mark would be a orangey-red sun. That's a given.
 photo sunshinepony_zps332d47b0.jpg

It's probably coincidence, but your Pony Sunshine looks oddly similar to semi-canonical pony Sunset Shimmer, who appears in the spinoff movies. Sunset Shimmer's colors (apart from her eyes, which are a close enough match that I can't tell a difference) are somewhat lighter, her mane and tail are streaked with yellow, and her cutie mark is a swirled yellow-and-red sun, but the likeness is remarkable. (Sadly there are very few clear canon images of her pony form, and fewer of her cutie mark, or I'd provide some here.)

Well, she is the antagonist in the first movie. (In the tradition of several other FiM antagonists, she's set on the path of reform rather than simply defeated, so the sequel has an entirely different set of antagonists.)
